Mind Control, The Truman Story, and Us

truman1

Grace and peace, Saints.

In my last post, I explained that I would chronicle some of the strange occurrences that have taken place on this trip.  I’m going to give you the sanitized version, because if I were to give you the whole story, you would definitely not believe me.

A few months ago, I wrote how everywhere I go, Satan’s light workers manipulate my environment, in an attempt to manipulate me by controlling my reactions.  This is known as operant conditioning, pioneered by Ivan Pavlov and further refined by behaviorist B.F. Skinner.  Skinner believed that people are going to be manipulated anyway, so he said, “I just want them to be manipulated effectively.”  Operant conditioning is a form of mind control.

The movie, “The Truman Story” is a perfect example of mind control.  In the movie, the title character, played by actor Jim Carey, has been under surveillance his entire life unbeknownst to him.  His whole life is really a soap opera.  Hidden cameras chronicle his every move, and everyone in his life is, in reality, an actor portraying a role.  His mother is not really his mother.  His wife is not really his wife.  And his best friend is not really his best friend.  His neighbors are actors, his boss is an actor, and absolutely everyone he meets on the street is an actor.  His entire world is a fantasy.  In fact, the entire town where he lives is actually a movie set.

Truman is fascinated by the sea, but he is afraid to go sailing, because when he was a small boy, his “father” was lost at sea during an “episode” of Truman’s life.  Since that time, Truman has been afraid of the water.  The drowning at sea was a planned event to insure that Truman would develop a fear of sailing, and not attempt to leave the seafront community where he lived.   If Truman had ever managed to leave the village, then he would have discovered that it was, in actuality, a movie set.  This is being done to each and every one of us on some level.

Whenever Truman would get close to the truth, his “best friend” steers him away from it.  If anyone tries to tell Truman the truth, as one young woman, who starts to care for him tries to do, that person is immediately apprehended and removed from Truman’s life.  In fact, if events in Truman’s life had not been so meticulously managed and had been allowed to play out naturally, the young woman who tried to tell Truman the truth about his life would, in all likelihood, have become his wife.  But the producer of the show, seeing Truman taking a liking to her, had another woman supposedly hurt her ankle and literally fall into Truman’s lap.  This woman became his wife.  How many of us found our spouses under the same circumstances?  Does this, in some way, explain the blur that led to your nuptials?

This has happened to us and to almost everyone we know.  Many of our lives have been deliberately and meticulously controlled at least as early as grade school.  People have been placed in our lives to manipulate events in our lives to bring about a desired result, and have intentionally derailed many of our futures.  That is why many of us, no matter how hard we try, just cannot seem to reach our full potential.  There seems to be an invisible wall that is so wide we can’t get around it, so low we can’t get under it, and so high, we can’t get over it.

I believe, and have seen evidence to support this, that Satan has placed people in the schools in order to identify children who are highly intelligent and natural born leaders.  Once identified, it will then be determined if such a child can be used for Satan’s agenda.  If he can be, then he is called “exceptional” and “gifted” and it is suggested that he attend a school where his gifts can be properly developed.  Teachers and administrators cater to his every whim, and all the students love and admire him.  If he cannot be, then his life will be managed in such a way as to insure that he will never reach his full potential.  He will be treated differently, possibly even cruelly by teachers and administrators, and students will be placed in the school to harass the child and to persuade other students to treat him like a pariah.  Many children so treated have ended up in a life of crime.  God willing, I will one day give a testimony of something that happened in my children’s school to substantiate what I am saying here.

In reality, Truman was an allegory for the common man. Our reality is being manipulated in order to achieve a specific result, and ultimately, to keep us from ever coming to a knowledge of the truth.  I believe, and have stated many times, that Satan is compelled by God to tell us the truth.  Jesus said the truth is not in Satan, and the Bible teaches us that no lie is of the truth.  Satan, then, never tells the whole truth, but will tell some truth to make his lie more palatable.  He will tell the truth, but he will tell it slant.

Hollywood is Satan’s way of telling us what is really going on, but one has to have the discernment of the Holy Spirit in order to see it.  Through The Truman Story, Satan was telling us that our realities are being manipulated and that virtually nothing that we think is real really is real.

This is especially true of Christians.  Truman was really an allegory for all Christians, and this is evident by the ‘X’ or cross, behind Truman’s head in the photo above.  We know that the cross is a symbol for Christians.  We are being told, in a subtle way, that we are being spied upon, surveilled, studied: however you want to term it, we Christians are being watched most intently by the enemy.  And our realities are being shaped in such a way as to beguile those of little discernment into thinking that everything is OK, and that our old enemy, the Roman Catholic church, is really our friend, when, in reality, Rome is still plotting our destruction.  If you haven’t already, you had better read The Roman Catholic Takeover of America.  The time is almost here.

Of several clever hints that what I am saying is exactly the case, is the following photo of Christoff, played by Ed Harris:

Ed Harris The Truman Show

If you try, it would not be difficult to see that Cristoff’s collar is remarkably similar to that of a Roman Catholic priest.  Wouldn’t you say?  In fact, his whole demeanor, speech, and philosophy are very “priestly.”  This is no accident.  Add to this the fact that his right hand is clearly displaying a Cult of Mary hand sign, and you will see the message that is being conveyed here.

Those who realize what is really going on are demonized and made to look crazy or paranoid so that others will not listen to him.  We saw this in the Truman show as, every time he would get close to the truth, his friend would convince him that he spent too much time thinking and needed to relax.

If, for instance, the enemy wants a person to become a sociopath, he can place people around the person to ensure that virtually every contact that person has with people is a bad experience.  Many people who have been so manipulated have ended up recluses. I believe Satan does this to people who have figured out how the world really works and he wants to make sure that this person doesn’t influence others.

This same technique has been used to create anyone from social activists to sociopaths.  Want to create a racist?  Then place people of the target race in this person’s life from childhood into adulthood that will make sure that every contact the child has with this race will be bad.  Then put other people in the child’s life: parents, relatives, teachers, etc. who will reinforce the opinion of the target race that is being developed in the child.  Then groom that person for success and influence so that he influences other people to think as he does.

Have you ever noticed that some of the most successful and most popular people today are some of the most despicable people you will ever meet—people of questionable morals and character, while some of the most interesting, insightful, and moral people are labeled by the media and others as crazy or strange?  This is no accident.  Satan wants his people to influence the status quo to bring about the type of society conducive to his ends.  He doesn’t want people listening to those whose eyes have been opened and from whom one could actually learn a thing or two.

The enemy uses mind control to accomplish many ends.  In my case, it is used to try to control where I go, what I do, and how I act.  In your case, it is being used to keep you from listening to people like me

Our lives are being manipulated.

Now, I said all that to build the context in which I am going to recount many of the things that have happened on this trip.  Without me giving you this short primer on mind control, which takes many forms, you would not have been able to digest what I am going to tell you.  Believe me, most of us have had our realities completely shaped by the puppet masters so that we will close our minds to anything that does not fit into our worldview: a worldview, by the way, that did not develop naturally, but was deliberately shaped and molded by the puppet masters of Mystery Babylon.

Gooday!

More Spiritual Wickedness in High Places

Grace and peace, Saints.

As many of you may know, I originally started this blog subsequent to learning that I was under surveillance by the forces of darkness, which have been attacking me and my family for years.

I believe this is largely due to my evangelism work among Roman Catholics and Muslims and because we preach the pure, undiluted, hard-core Gospel of Jesus Christ, which Gospel Satan hates.  We reveal Satan’s schemes and expose his machinations, and enable anyone who is willing to not only be set free from bondage, but to wage an effective warfare against Satan and the forces of darkness with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Because Satan constantly exposes me to his light workers, I take the opportunity to evangelize them also.  And, because the attacks upon me are so relentless, my spirit tells me that some of these poor souls may have even been reached with the Gospel.  Whether this is the case, I cannot say for sure, but my spirit tells me that there is some truth to this.  I at least hope there is.

Psychological warfare operations (commonly known as mind control) plays a major role in the attacks upon me, as well as extremely low frequency electromagnetic or directed energy weapons used against my body.  Because these weapons are known to be used by the United States military, this can only mean that the U.S. government is somehow involved in the attacks upon me.  As I have related previously, the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Senate both have paid a visit to my website.   Last week, I was staying in a military hotel on Ramstein Air Force Base.  When I tried to access this blog using one the hotel’s courtesy computers, a security banner identified my website as a “hate/violence” website and prevented me from logging on:

stillmanblocked

This is not unusual, given that this ministry involves revealing the true nature of Roman Catholicism as well as the Roman Catholic plan to take over the United States of America and the world.  In that the United States government is controlled by the Roman Catholic church, and there are Roman Catholics in the United States military, then it is not unreasonable to conclude that the Romish elements of the United States military would be hostile to my ministry.

Many of you are aware that the attacks against me have, wittingly or unwittingly, involved my wife, who was born and raised a Roman Catholic.  Only the love that I have for my wife and children and the grace of our Lord Jesus, to whom I owe my love, unwavering obedience, and allegiance, have thus far saved my family from utter destruction.   All praise, honor, and glory be to God, who giveth us the victory through Christ Jesus our Lord.

After the St. Louis Circuit Court returned my children to my wife in August 2009, after I had taken them from Germany to the U.S. for their safety in February 2008, I remained in the U.S., while my wife and children returned to Munich, Germany.  At this point, you should know that my wife is not German, but black African: born and raised in Angola and the Congo.  My children are black and look black, and are not altogether indiscernible from the average black American child.  You can imagine, therefore, how three black American children, who look like three black American children, and talk like three black American children among themselves, although they do speak fluent German, must appear in Munich, where black American children, who are not of mixed race, are a rarity, if they exist at all outside my family.

The significance of this last testimony involving my wife and family is that since April 2012, following an urgent plea from my son to come to Germany, I have been living on two continents: maintaining a residence in the United States, while residing in Germany.  I had been planning since my arrival here to go back to America and tie up any loose ends before returning to Germany.  But certain factors made me reluctant to totally commit to living in Germany.  A recent addition to the family this year made it further necessary for me to postpone my trip a few months.

I had planned to leave when the baby reached three months of age, and if she were healthy and had no physical or medical issues.  I would then go to America to close out that chapter of my life, and subsequently return to Germany to resume my activities as a full-time missionary, leaving the rest in the hands of the Lord Jesus.  With this intent, I left Munich Wednesday April 2, 2014 en route to Ramstein Air Force Base, where I hoped to get a space available flight to the United States.

This is where it gets interesting.

This is not the peak travel season, so space available, commonly called Space A, flights are usually not very difficult to get.  Space available means that if any seats on a military aircraft are left after all official travelers have been seated, then those seats will be released to travelers based on select criteria.  It is also used to fill empty space on cargo aircraft.  Space available travel is available to active duty military, military retirees, and others in select groups.  I left Munich at approximately 7:30 a.m. April 2, and arrived at Ramstein Air Base five and a half hours later.  There was no flight out that day, so I got a room at the hotel and hoped that I would get a flight out the next day.  I didn’t, however, so I had to wait until Friday, April 4.

Now I showed up bright and early for that flight and it looked like I would be flying out.  But it was announced that all seats were filled before they got to me.  So, back to the hotel room I went.  When I didn’t make it out on any of the several flights that Saturday, I became suspicious.  So I went to my facebook feed to look for the 24hr. historical data of Ramstein Passenger Terminal.  Many Air Mobility Command (AMC) Passenger Terminals post historical data as well as 72 hr. projected flight schedules.  I subscribe to Ramstein’s facebook feed as well as several others.  The 24hr. historical data lists what flights went out, how many seats were released and how many were filled, the lowest category (out of six categories) that was chosen and the sign up date of the person in that category, and the number of people who competed for a seat and the lowest category person who competed.

The 24hr. historical data is the best way of determining how close a person who was not selected was to being selected.  One does this by comparing his category and sign up date with the lowest category and sign up date that was selected.

Now a person can sign up for as many destinations as he chooses, and his name will be automatically considered for every flight he signs up for.  Since I was trying to go stateside, then I was eligible for any flight and would be considered for every flight.  In that most flights on a given day have a different departure time, it is important to show up plenty of time before the “roll call” for a particular flight to make sure that passenger service personnel know that you want to be considered for that flight.  They will then mark you as present, and, at roll call, your name will appear with the names of everyone else marked present for the flight, on a big screen monitor along with your category, sign up date, and number in line.

Category VI, the last category, is retired personnel.  If all Category VI personnel who signed up for a flight are selected, it means that there were plenty of seats.  I showed up an hour early before the roll call for the flight to McGuire Air Force Base, NJ, on April 4 and was marked as present.  I am Category VI and had a sign up date of February 20, 2014.  I was not selected for the flight.

Here is the historical data for that flight.  This information was posted to facebook, so it is unclassified.

mcguire20140404

You will note that out of 10 seats released, only 9 were used, and the lowest category selected was CAT VI with a sign up date of April 3, 2014: only the day before the flight, and several weeks later than my signup date.  I should have been selected for the flight.

On Sunday April 6, I went to the Ramstein Passenger Terminal to find out why I wasn’t selected for that flight when there were enough seats.  I was told that someone “accidentally” put me in the system as desiring to go to Kuwait.  So I wasn’t even considered for the McGuire flight or any other flight going Stateside.  What makes this mistake dubious, however, was that my signup sheet clearly shows that I wanted to go Stateside.

I ultimately left Ramstein AFB on April 7, five days after I arrived, on a flight to Travis Air Force Base, CA.  And I almost didn’t make that flight either.  Because of what had happened with the McGuire flight, I signed up for the Travis flight, believing that hardly anyone wanted to go to the West Coast as it is easier to get connecting flights from the East Coast.  I arrived very early, as usual, and marked myself present for the flight to Travis.  My name appeared on the monitor this time, but I was still expecting the worse.  During the roll call for this flight, an announcement came over the PA system that due to the large number of seats released, everyone who signed up for the flight would be selected.  I immediately went to the passenger service counter to verify this.  The sergeant in charge told me “there is no way you heard that.”

So I went back to my seat, but, sure I had heard correctly, I went back to the counter and asked how many seats were released, and what my number was.  One person said that I was number ten of the retirees, so my chances looked good, while another said, “I’m not liking your chances.” Just then, the announcement came over the PA for me to go to passenger control.  I had been selected.

In the past, I was never very diligent in things like checking the list and making sure my data was correct, looking for mistakes or discrepancies in destinations, or referencing the historical data, because I trusted the system, which, before the last five years or so, had always worked very well.  Ordinarily, AMC personnel are incredibly efficient.

Right now, I’m in Hawaii.  When I signed up for the flight going from Travis AFB to Joint Air Base Pearl Harbor/Hickam, it seemed there was going to be plenty of seats.  There were 73 seats available, I had a signup date almost two months old, and who is going to Hawaii in April with Spring Break just about over and summer vacation still a couple of months away?  Well, you can guess what happened.  When I arrived at the passenger terminal at 5:45 a.m., it was teaming with people.

Again, there was a role call, again, my name appeared, and again, I wasn’t selected.  The service agent announced that all the seats were filled, and the last person selected was right before me.  In that this person was CAT VI, with a signup date of 24 February—four days later than mine—I went to ask about this.  As I glanced up at the monitor, I noticed that my signup date had been changed from 20 February to 26 February!  I told the service agent about this, and he told me it was too late, that there had been plenty of time to have had it changed before then.  Again the plane left without me.

When I inquired how this error was made, the lady at the passenger counter told me that someone forgot to change the date from 26 February to 20 February.  I asked her how that was possible when, as the date was entered for the first time only the day before, nothing needed to be changed.  It was entered incorrectly to begin with.  All I got was an apology.

Today, I went to Travis Passenger Terminal’s facebook page to look at the historical data for yesterday.  The first flight to Hawaii is the one I would have been on.

travispearl20140408hist

As you can see, of the 73 seats released, only 71 were used.  They list 71 people as having competed for the seats, and that the lowest was Category VI with a signup date of 17 February.  Again, I’m Category VI, and my signup date was 20 February.

It is totally possible that these were all honest mistakes.  But, in view of what I do, and the fact that there is a spiritual war going on, I say again: the military consists of people; and people have agendas: some good, some bad.  If you consider this in light of the Roman Catholic Takeover of America, then it makes plenty of sense.

The purpose of my writing this is not to sling mud at our military, as there are some fine men and women there.  I’m merely telling what is really happening to me.  I have definitely been targeted by the forces of darkness, many of whom are in our military.  This is a fact.  Can I prove it?  No.  Does that mean it’s not happening?  Definitely not.  What may be considered proof of this, is the fact that two days after I left Ramstein, seats to the U.S. seemed to have became plentiful again:

ramstein20140409

Now, many of you may find what I am saying hard to believe, but others of you know that I speak the truth: maybe because it’s also happening to you, or maybe because you are making it happen to someone yourself.

Because so many spiritually interesting things have been occurring on this trip, I am going to chronicle the whole thing: day-by-day, play-by-play.  I’m already way behind, because a lot has happened.  But I’ll do my best to catch up.

By the way, there was an upside to me not making that flight on April 4th.  When I should have been flying out, the weather in St. Louis was terrible: thunderstorms and tornadoes.  It was the same on the East Coast:

weather20140404

But instead, of thunderstorms, this is what I saw from my hotel window this morning:

Again, what Satan meant for evil, God meant for good.  God knew I needed a break.

Please pray for me.

Be Encouraged

Grace and peace, Saints.

If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted anything lately, suffice it to say that Satan has been very busy.  This should come as no surprise to you by now, if you have kept up with this blog for any length of time.  One thing that I can tell you is that it is absolutely amazing what Satan can do with the unrepentant sinner and how he can affect the life of the repentant sinner through that unrepentant sinner.  We are truly, TRULY in a war.

Saints, if you are going through anything in your personal lives because of your Christian witness, don’t give up the fight.  Satan will win many battles, but he will lose the war.  We have already won the victory.  We only have to claim it.

If you’ve been knocked down, get back up, dust yourself off, and keep on keeping on.  And keep on trusting in Jesus.

I have been working on a very important teaching for some time now, and, God willing, I will be posting it later today.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Barack Obama and the Church of Constantine

obamaconstanthand2

Grace and peace to the fruitful trees of the Lord, and greetings to the withering branches of the world.

People have been speculating for years about the religious orientation of our President, Barack Obama.  The President’s father is said to have been a Muslim, and, because many believe that as the nationality of a child is based on that of the father rather than that of the mother, Barack Obama is considered by many to be a Muslim.

As Christians, we are admonished by the Apostle Paul to watch in all things.  But we must also be careful not to get involved in arguments that are not edifying or fruitful.  The goal of any discussion in which we become involved should be:

1.     To come to a knowledge of the Truth, that God may be glorified in Christ Jesus, who is the Truth.

 2.     To bring someone to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

 3.     To separate Truth from error.

 4.     To edify the Body of Christ.

The question of whether President Obama is a Muslim does not necessarily accomplish any of these objectives.  So Christians should avoid discussions of this nature.

Moreover, the Bible commands us to honor and respect those in government, especially our leaders, for “The powers that be are of God.”  Regardless of his religion, we should still render due reverence to our President and Commander and Chief.

HOWEVER…(“And there’s always a however in life…”–Frank O. Pinion), President Obama claims to be a Christian, and, at one time, he even attended a “Christian” church.  In that we are commanded to judge the fruit that a tree produces, it is not disrespectful or irreverent to examine this claim of the President’s through the lens of the Holy Spirit.

We are in a war, Saints, and the Bible teaches us that we war not against flesh and blood, but against “spiritual wickedness in high places.”  The office of President of the United States is one of the highest places in the world.  And we would do well to remember this.

Below is a hand from a monumental statue of the Roman Emperor Constantine, located at the Museo Capitolino in Rome.  It is commonly referred to as the Hand or Finger of Constantine.

constanthand1

The Hand of Constantine also appears in advertising:

constanthandadv

Emperor Constantine is considered by many as the greatest of the Roman Caesars.  He is also the founder of the Roman Catholic church.

Back when Christianity was in its infancy, the Roman Caesars ruthlessly persecuted the primitive Church.  Christians were slaughtered in the Roman circus called the Coliseum in a variety of cruel, barbaric means.  They were crucified, burned at the stake, covered with animal skins and torn to pieces by wild animals, fed to the lions, forced to fight for their lives against professional gladiators, and, in other ways, tortured and martyred.

But something unforeseen happened: the more that Christians were persecuted, the stronger they became.  For every Christian that perished, “one hundred sprang up to take his place.”  It is said that the Christians literally “turned the world upside down” with the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Emperor Constantine knew that his power was based on the fear and respect of the people, as, in those days, Caesars were thought to be gods.  The Christians, in rejecting the Roman system of idolatry, were defying the might of Caesar.  Constantine had a dilemma.

Then Satan gave Constantine a brilliant idea.  Constantine declared that he was a Christian, after having seen a vision of a cross in the sky.  The problem, however, was that he hadn’t seen the Christian cross.  The cross he claimed to have seen is said to have looked like this one:

 Chi Rho Six Pointed Star1

This is what is known as the Chi Rho, and it is an emblem of the Roman Catholic church.

Because Constantine continued to worship the sun, which he called “Sol Invictus” (the Unconquerable Sun), it is doubtful that he truly ever accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior.  But, no matter: after Constantine’s “conversion,” he proclaimed that Christianity was now the official religion of the Roman Empire.  Constantine’s version of Christianity was not biblical, however.  It was Roman Catholicism: an unholy blend of paganism and pantheism with a smidgeon of Christianity to give it “a form of righteousness.”

Constantine’s religion lives on today.  In fact, largely due to the favor it receives in the media, Roman Catholicism is more popular today than the religion it claims to be, as is it’s head, the Roman Catholic pope, who is more loved in the world than the Lord Jesus Christ, to whom he pays lip service.

The Bible says that one day very soon, all the world will worship the Roman Catholic pope.  That especially includes heads of state, which should come as no surprise to us, as former President, George W. Bush said that when he looked into Pope John Paul II’s eyes, he saw “God.”

Before we continue, here is the Hand of Constantine again from another angle:

constanthand2

Note the way the thumb is held.  Now note the way the President points in this series of photographs.  As you will see, he is not pointing in the manner most people point: with the thumb folded over the middle finger, but with his thumb somewhat extended—like the Finger of Constantine.

Pope Francis Concecrates the World to the Virgin Mary

popefrancis_mc

Grace and peace, Saints.

You may recall that in our series, The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, we explain that according to Monica Farrell in Ravening Wolves, the Roman Catholic takeover of a nation happens in three phases:

1. A crusade of prayer, claiming a country for the Virgin Mary

2.  Dedication of the country to the Virgin Mary

3.  A holy warfare to possess that country.

We reveal, in this series, that phases 1 and 2 actually happened in the United States:

loaprayercardback

Step 3, a holy warfare, or Catholic crusade, is in the making.

The stated goal of the Roman Catholic church is for Roman Catholicism to be the universal religion of the world.  Catholic means “universal,” and, historically, the Roman Catholic popes have declared themselves the final authorities both in the secular and spiritual realms.  If the Bible can be believed (and it can), Rome will succeed in taking over the world, and the Roman Catholic pope will become the universal monarch of the world.

If the Roman Catholic Takeover of the World will follow the same template as the Roman Catholic takeover of a country, then it follows that there should be a crusade of prayer to dedicate the world to the Virgin Mary, followed by formal dedication of the world to the Virgin Mary, and, lastly, a holy warfare to possess the world.

In Part One of The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, I present a prayer wherein the Roman Catholics worldwide were urged to pray daily for the world to be dedicated to the Virgin Mary.  I also presented the above prayer card, which called for the same to happen in the United States and also a prayer that was read at the dedication of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., which dedicated the United States to the Virgin Mary.  While both prayers dedicating the United States to the Virgin Mary bear the imprimatur of the Roman Catholic church and are, thus, authentic, the authenticity of the prayer dedicating the world to the Virgin Mary cannot be proved.  If, however, the prayer is authentic, then Step One of the Roman Catholic conquest of the world has already been accomplished, and the next step is a formal dedication of the world to the Virgin Mary.

Imagine, therefore, my reaction when I read today in an article in the Catholic Herald, dated August 22, 2013, that Pope Francis, the False Prophet of Chapter 13 of the Book of the Revelation, was planning to consecrate the world to the “Immaculate Heart of Mary” on October 13 of last year. [Click image for full story.]

pfrancisdedworld

Realizing the import of this, I immediately set out to confirm whether or not it had happened.  According to the National Catholic Register, it did: [Click image for full story.]

pfrancisdedworld2

If this story is authentic, and there is no reason to believe that it isn’t, then the Roman Catholic church has really dedicated the world to the Virgin Mary.

In that official dedication to the Virgin Mary is followed by “a holy warfare,” then a global Crusade to possess the earth for the Virgin Mary is imminent.  The Bible calls this crusade The Great Tribulation.  And the fact that the False Prophet himself, Pope Francis, performed the dedication, means that we are closer to the end than many of us even dared to believe.

The goal of a Catholic Crusade is the forced conversion of all non-Catholics to Roman Catholicism and the elimination of all who will not convert.  In case you doubt this, read the article from the National Catholic Register very carefully.  Under “Consecrations Must Continue,” you will read:

“But those present [at the consecration] were eager to stress that the consecration doesn’t end there if the world is to be converted.” [Brackets mine.]

These people are not playing games.

It is interesting to note that this was not covered in the mainstream media, which, at that time, were busy covering the congressional budget/debt crisis, Obamacare, and the latest reports of the NSA spying on our closest allies.  Again, the media were successful in diverting our attention away from what is really important.  Now we know why the media made such a big deal about Edward Snowden and NSA surveillance, when any thinking person knows that this has likely been going on for decades.

By the way, I find Snowden’s name very interesting.  In light of the what we have just discovered, it is highly likely that the whole NSA debacle was a diversion: a “snow job,” if you will.  And if it was, then Snowden’s name is a slap in our collective faces.

Additionally, note that though mainstream media didn’t cover the event, the article states that the consecration was televised all over the world at specific “Marian” (Roman Catholic) sites.  Though most American’s knew nothing of this, the Roman Catholics knew full well what had happened.  You should think about this very carefully.

Monica Farrell said that when Rome dedicated Australia to the Virgin Mary, most people, including many Christians, took it as a big joke.  The same thing was probably true of Yugoslavia and Rwanda: and we all know what happened in those countries.  Will you write it off as a joke too?

We warned you that this was coming, and now you see that it isn’t a fairy tale.  What you do with this information is your business.  We’ve done our part in bringing it to you.  If you haven’t read our series, The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, we suggest very strongly that you do so.  Then read Ravening Wolves, which you can download here.  You will then understand how serious this is.

Deceitful Workers: Matthew McConaughey: A Form of Righteousness?

mcconaugheyoscar2014_1

Grace and peace, Saints.

The web is abuzz today behind Matthew McConaughey’s plug for “God” during his Oscar acceptance speech last night.  Many are lauding McConaughey for having the “courage” to mention God at a venue representing an industry notorious for it’s lack of reverence for God and the Lord Jesus Christ:

oscargodcomment2 oscargodcomment

It’s amazing that so many people could be fooled into believing that McConaughey is really a God-fearing man, just because he gives thanks to “god.”

God means many things to many people.  Oprah Winfrey, for example, says that to her, God is “a force.”  “Jesus Christ,” said she, “Is not “The Way,” but rather, “He came to show us the way.”  Former president, George W. Bush, when asked during an interview what he saw when he looked into Pope John Paul II’s eyes, said simply, “God.”

God means different things to different people.

Who is God, then, to Matthew McConaughey?  Well, McConaughey’s God is himself.  Don’t believe me?  Well listen to what he says:

“In the words of the late Charlie Laughton…‘When you’ve got God, you’ve got a friend — and that friend is you.’”

Did you get that?  McConaughey is saying that God is you.  So when McConaughey gives thanks to God he is actually giving thanks to himself.  He’s patting himself on the back. Whitney Houston did the same thing when she sung The Greatest Love of All.

McConaughey further proves this when he relates that the hero to whom he has aspired all his life to be is himself.  The “someone to chase” he mentions is Matthew McConaughey.  Now, if he were a true Christian, McConaughey would have said that he aspired to be like the Lord Jesus Christ, as this is the ultimate role model for the Christian.  Instead, he brazenly declares that he himself is the model to which he aspires.  McConaughey is his own god.

Self godhood is a premier motif of New Age Christianity.  Incidentally, in the movie “Contact,” McConaughey plays a New Age spiritual guru to the President of the United States.  Christian, you say?  Uh–huh.

McConaughey’s Oscar speech is a literal fulfillment of 2 Timothy 3:

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers… unthankful, unholy…heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

“Having a form of righteousness, but denying the power thereof” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

McConaughey’s version of Heaven is yet further evidence that he is no Christian, as he relates in his speech that his late father is probably in heaven with a big pot of gumbo, sipping a Miller Light and dancing.  My Bible does not say that beer or gumbo will be allowed in Heaven, and McConaughey’s reference is blasphemous, to say the least.

I couldn’t help but notice that McConaughey several times cleverly flashes the Cult of Mary handsign, signalling his allegiance to the goddess:

mcconaughey3_mc mcconaughey2_mc mcconaughey1_mc

Same stuff, different day.

Matthew McConaughey is no different than any of the other unholy denizens of the cesspool that is Tensiltown.

Below is the video of Matthew McConaughey’s landmark praise of “god” speech.  Enjoy.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Coming Great Holocaust and the Roman Catholic Takeover of America

Proposed flag of 51 stars

Proposed flag of 51 stars

Grace and peace.  In our series, The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, based on information taken from the book, “Ravening Wolves,” by Monica Farrell, we explain how the Roman Catholic church is currently in Phase Three of its takeover of the United States of America.

Phase Three, “A Holy Warfare,” involves four steps:

1.  The formation of an independent exclusively Roman Catholic state (Washington DC or “New Columbia”).

2. The formation of an exclusively Roman Catholic army (The UN “peacekeeping” forces, which includes our own military).

3.  A declaration that only Roman Catholics may serve in government (This congress saw the admission of more Roman Catholics than at any time in our nation’s history: two-thirds of our Supreme Court are Roman Catholic, our President is a closet Roman Catholic, and our Vice-President and Secretary of State as well as other key officials are all Roman Catholic.  Immigration reform is also part of the plan.).

4. CONFISCATION OF ALL WEAPONS (Columbine, Virginia Tech, Trayvon Martin, and Sandy Hook were all planned and designed to bring about this end).

The gospel tract “Holocaust,” available from Chick Publications, explains how WWII was actually a Roman Catholic Inquisition, and, in annihilating the Jews, Hitler was merely carrying out Vatican policy.  [Click image for track.]

holocaustcover

The same will happen in the United States as part of the Roman Catholic Takeover of America.  After step four is accomplished, the Roman Catholic church will launch it’s final Holocaust to rid America and the world of all remaining “heretics” (Bible-believing Christians), Jews, Blacks, Eastern Orthodox, Patriots, and everyone else who won’t bow down to the Roman Catholic pope and his star goddess, The Virgin Mary, whom the Bible calls the Abomination of Desolation.

If you are noticing that the U.S. government seems to be growing increasingly antagonistic towards the Constitution and our freedoms, this is the reason.  The Roman Catholic church hates our Constitution and is working feverishly to destroy it and our nation.  Another Vatican Holocaust is in the making.

Folks, resist the urge to say that this is just more fear-mongering and close-mindedness by another Bible-thumping Christian.  You must understand that the Jesuit-run Roman Catholic church is not only the enemy of Protestant Christianity, BUT OF ALL FREEDOMS.  In “Ravening Wolves,” Monica Farrell quotes a high-ranking Roman Catholic source stating the Roman Catholic church’s belief that NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN ROMAN CATHOLIC.  If Hitler had been successful, everyone reading this would either be Roman Catholic or dead.  If you are a Bible-believing Christian, or simply care about the freedom to decide what you want to wear today, YOU MUST DO SOMETHING.

“Holocaust” is currently out of print, but it is available from Chick Publications by custom order.  If your church got together with the goal of getting this tract out to warn the people, the cost would be extremely reasonable.  Depending on your situation, even individual Christians can custom order it.  If, however, you are unwilling or unable to do that, you would be doing your part if you would at least share this post on Facebook and get the word out.

Believe me, there will be no fence-sitters when the Roman Catholic church takes over.  You will be given two choices: worship the pope and the Virgin Mary or die.  Whether you make a decision now or later, you will make a decision.  Take a stand for freedom–now.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

“The whole problem with this Hollande scandal is that he is not married.  Had he been married, this affair would never have been revealed.

In France, having a mistress is not considered cheating.  We are not a puritanical country.  France is Catholic.  We accept sin and forgiveness.”

-French novelist, Jean-Marie Rouart, as quoted in a New York Times Op-Ed article dated February 15, 2014, concerning a scandal involving French President Francois Hollande and a purported mistress.

Stay Tuned

Grace and peace, Saints.

I had planned to put out a teaching and the accompanying podcast this past Monday, but as you can see, that hasn’t happened.  Our newborn has been throwing our sleep cycles way off, as you can probably imagine.  So, I haven’t finished it yet.  The teaching actually turned out to be more involved than I imagined.  I couldn’t believe how much the Spirit gave me to share with the body of Christ on this subject!  One thing I can assure you is that it will be well worth the wait for those interested.

Please pray for me, Saints, because this is an important subject that those of the household of faith need to seriously consider, and I would like to get it out to you by Sunday latest.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

“So What Did You Dream Last Night?”

girldreaming

Grace and peace to the children of promise and to all those who have bought the lie.

Here at The Still Man, we always admonish parents to keep the lines of communication open with their children at all times. We should always be talking to them and, most importantly, listening to them: feeling them out for signs of things that may be going on in their lives that they may be reluctant to tell us about or that they may not even know about or may be unable or unwilling to understand.  In so doing, we enable ourselves to read between the lines and to see things that on the surface may appear insignificant, but may actually be a sign of a potential spiritual problem.

I have learned this lesson only in the last five or six years, after God alerted me to what Satan was doing to my family.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t that diligent with my first three children, as I was an unrepentant sinner for most of their lives, and thought that all a father had to do was bring home the bacon and scratch his private parts.  Thank God for the blood!

Satan is always hard at work looking for a doorway into our children’s lives that he can use to bring them under bondage. If your child is saved, Satan knows that he has lost the battle for that child’s soul.  But he may still try to discourage the child and, if possible, to destroy his hope. Satan is subtle, clever, and very crafty, and he has many weapons in his arsenal by which he can come in under the radar of even the most diligent parent.

One way Satan accomplishes this is through our children’s dreams. There are many theories abroad as to the purpose of dreams.  Some believe that dreams are a way that we process things that have happened during the day. Others believe that dreams are a window into the subconscious, and that it is through dreams that one’s fears and hopes are revealed.  But I have come to understand that for the Christian–especially the Christian child–dreams are a spiritual battleground: for it is through dreams that Satan attacks our children, trying to instill doubt, fear, and uncertainty in their minds, in an attempt to derail their faith. Satan knows that in their sleep, children are particularly vulnerable to spiritual attack. It has therefore become my custom to discuss my children’s dreams with them to try and discern if Satan is attacking their dreams and, if so, what he is trying to accomplish.

I have found that the best time to talk to my children about their dreams is at the dinner table, when they are usually very chatty.  It was actually my son who begun the tradition of recounting dreams at the dinner table.  One day the family had just sat down to eat dinner.  Immediately after saying grace, every head swung around and every eye but mine was glued to the television set.  Not a word was spoken for about five minutes. During the three years that my family and I were separated, my children had grown accustomed to watching television while eating, as my wife has had this habit for many years.  Now, I was faced with the sobering reality that the television set was like another member of the family: a surrogate father, who, during my absence, kept my children company and held everyone mesmerized with his captivating stories.

Grieved in my spirit, I grabbed the remote and shut off the television.  I then explained that dinnertime should not only be a time to eat, but also a time for the family to sit together and talk and reconnect after having spent the better part of the day separated.  There was about two minutes of silence while my wife and children tried to process what had just happened and figure out what to do next. Suddenly, my son, who loathes uncomfortable silences, looks at me and says, “So what did you dream last night?” So I told him.

What happened next was a first for our family: for each person in turn began to share not only what he had dreamed the night before, but any dreams that were especially troubling, puzzling, or interesting.  It turned out they all had some pretty interesting dreams over the past few years that they simply had never thought to share with one another.

I learned a lot from those dreams.  I learned, for instance, that, like me, they all had had dreams that ended with them falling from a very high place and waking just before hitting the ground. I learned that my son remembers even the most minute details of his dreams and retains those memories indefinitely, while my wife rarely remembers her dreams.  I also realized that I was in a lot of my children’s dreams.  For my part, I realized that it had been a long while since I last dreamed of my deceased father and brother.

It turned out that I learned more about my children from listening to their dreams than I had learned from any formal conversation with them to date.

Let me give you a practical example of the value of dreams and their role in spiritual warfare.  When my wife and I were separated, I lived in the U.S. while she and the children lived in Germany.  Now, Munich is a Roman Catholic city in a Roman Catholic country, and my wife is also a Roman Catholic, although she attends a “Protestant” church.  So, to try and keep my children grounded in the truth, I would read the Bible with them over the telephone at least once a week, and I would try to give them a test over what we had read about once a month. It didn’t always work out, but we did our best to stay in the Word.

For years, there has been a concerted effort on the part of Satan to destroy my family, and one of the ways he has tried to do this is by attempting to destroy my children’s faith. During one of our Bible studies, I discerned by her questions that my middle daughter was beginning to have doubts.  Upon close examination, I realized that this was due in part to the teaching she was receiving in her ethics class.

You may find it interesting to know that, at least in Munich, children are required to take classes in either Religion or Ethics.  I never let my children take the religion classes for fear they were in Roman Catholicism, and nothing is more dangerous for an immature Christian child than instruction in Roman Catholicism: a religion that claims that Jesus Christ is God Almighty, yet subordinates Him to an idol of stone and to a mere man.  I would therefore, let my children take Ethics, which I thought would be a safe alternative.  I was to find out later, however, that my daughter’s ethics classes are almost like a course in comparative theology, as they often discuss the cultural and ethical practices of other religions, especially Islam.  In fact, my children know more about Islam than I do.

This was reinforced by the fact that at the time, my daughter’s three best “friends” were  German, Chinese, and Turkish: that is, Roman Catholic, Buddhist, and Muslim.  Theirs was the perfect ecumenical friendship, and I don’t think this was a coincidence.  I came to realize that quite often the conversations between my daughter and her friends took on a religious flavor.  I also noticed that her friends and other children in my daughter’s class were extremely versed in Christian doctrine, and would often tell her that Roman Catholicism was Christianity and that Muslims worship the same God as do the Christians.  Satan was going to work on her faith.

The effect of this influence was that my daughter ended up having a dream in which Satan told her that she was not going to heaven.  All religions except true Christianity are works based, and, at least in the case of Roman Catholicism and Islam, have a myriad of rules and practices governing everything from prayer to diet and dress.  I believe that in my daughter’s eyes, the other religions made Christianity, which is grounded not in our own righteousness, but in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, look inferior and sorely lacking in works.

I realized that Satan was trying to plant seeds of doubt in my daughter’s mind. I anguished over how I could reassure my daughter that she was still saved, even though she had doubts. For days, I prayed for discernment from the Lord as to how best to proceed. Then God showed me a passage in the Bible that I was able to give my daughter to restore her hope.  It is 2 Timothy 2:13:

“If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”

With this passage, I was able to get my daughter to see that it was alright to have doubts, especially for a child, because Satan is going to work overtime for the express purpose of destroying the Christian child’s faith, because he can’t have her soul.  I reminded my daughter how Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness and I told her that if Satan could try to deceive God, then it’s a forgone conclusion that he will do the same to us.  I showed her that 1 John 5:13 says that the Christian [child] already has eternal life, meaning that her name is already written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  And I reassured her that Jesus always keeps His promises.  Her salvation is guaranteed.  I especially taught her from Exodus 34:6 that although God is powerful, and terrible, He is merciful before He is anything else.  He understands our doubts, and will forgive them.

I can’t tell you how happy she was that I shared this good news with her.  She was so relieved!  The best part is that she learned something about Jesus that she didn’t fully understand before.  She learned that He is merciful and that He extends this mercy to us every single day.  Jesus understands.

We have kept up the tradition of discussing our dreams at the dinner table.  But, thankfully I haven’t had to deal with any major theological issues since that scare of three years past.  I have also noticed that my children’s dreams are a lot quieter now, for lack of a better term.  This may be due to the fact that during our bedtime prayers, we have made it a practice to pray that Jesus will keep Satan out of our dreams that we may have peaceful dreams, free of Satan’s devices.

I no longer turn the television off before dinner.  I just put the news on, which instantly turns our attention onto each other: that is, unless there is a news item that I think we should all see and discuss.  Switching on the news has become the unofficial cue for my son’s favorite dinnertime question: “So, what did you dream last night?”

Feigning Themselves To Be Just Men

Grace and peace.

So far, I have not made good on my promise to be a better blogger this year, but there is a reason for that: with the new year came a new edition to our family.  So, as you can imagine, I have been very busy changing diapers, giving baths, and brushing up on my baby talk.  I was surprised how quickly my wife and I have been able to get back into the swing of things, given that it has been quite a few years since there was a baby in the house.  They say that muscles have memory, so I guess our baby muscles have memory also.  Okay, maybe I need to exercise my comic muscles a bit more before I try anymore baby jokes.

The forces of darkness were not impressed with our little bundle of joy, however, and, even in the hospital, Satan’s “light workers” were busy little bees.  The most memorable incident occurred on the last day of my wife’s hospital stay.  I had gone down to register my child with the county clerk, as they maintain an office in the hospital.  After asking me a few questions, the representative, a pleasant middle-aged woman of apparent Arab parentage, input the information I provided into the system, and asked me to look over the paperwork, to ensure that my child’s information was correct.  The lady made it a point to ask me to look the data over very carefully, as this was the information that would be going into the records.  As I looked over the data, I noticed that she had entered my religion as “RC,” which means Roman Catholic.  When I pointed this out to her, the lady replied that when she had asked my religion, I responded that I was a Christian, and that she thought Christian meant Roman Catholic.  I told her that there is a difference, but, for convenience sake, she could just enter “EV” or Evengelical.

Now, to the average person, this may not seem worthy of pen and ink.  But if you have followed this blog for any length of time, then you know that there are very few things that happen in my life that are not spiritually significant.  And this thing was certainly one of those things.  Allow me to explain.

When the lady asked my religion, I told her that I was a Christian, to which she added, “And your wife is an Evangelical, right?”  Now, for those of you who do not know, my wife was born and raised a Roman Catholic, and, though she attends an “Evangelical” church, she has never renounced her Roman Catholic faith.  This has presented several challenges in our marriage that you may read about here and here.  Moreover, my wife pays taxes to the Roman Catholic church as do all Roman Catholics.  So, as far as the German government and the Roman Catholic church are concerned, my wife is a Roman Catholic.

As you may know, the term “Evangelical” refers to Bible-believing Christians, who are trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ for their salvation.  The genesis of this term is grounded in the Protestant Reformation, the movement that was ignited when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the door of All-Saints church at Wittenburg.  The Vatican Council of Trent, which pronounced more than a hundred curses upon the reformers, initiated the Counter-Reformation, and Bible-believing Christians became known as Protestants, because they protested against the religion of Rome, and heretics, because they did not believe in what Rome considers the “One True Church.”  Vatican II supposedly ushered in a new feel-good era of brotherhood between Rome and the Christian Church, and, instead of heretics and Protestants, Rome referred to Christians as “separated brethren” and Evangelicals.

The Roman Catholic church uses the term Evangelical to distinguish Roman Catholics from Bible-believing Christians.  To understand why, it is important to first understand that the Roman Catholic church believes that it is true Christianity and has always proclaimed that there is no salvation outside the Roman Catholic faith.  Last year, the Jesuit Pope Frances reaffirmed this long-standing doctrine when he said,

“There is no path in life, there is no forgiveness, there is no reconciliation outside mother Church.”

In other words, any and all who do not affirm the Roman Catholic pope as the final authority on earth in all matters pertaining to faith, are considered heretics and infidels.  Therefore, all feel-good rhetoric notwithstanding, Rome still believes that Christians are heretics.  And the penalty for heresy is death.  Understand that.

What is the importance of this?  Well, I’ll tell you.  We are ostensibly in the “feel-good” stage when Roman Catholics and “Evangelicals” are both supposed to be Christians.  Proof of this is that, until now, when I have stated that I was a Christian, either that was what was written, or I was asked if I were a Roman Catholic or Evangelical.  Never before have I stated that I was a Christian and it was understood that I meant Roman Catholic.  So, when this lady understood “Christian” to mean “Roman Catholic,” she was making it clear to me that, at least in her mind, Christian meant Roman Catholic.  In other words, her words confirmed that as far as the Roman Catholic church is concerned, there is still no salvation outside “Mother Church.”

Now, I truly do not believe that this incident was merely a coincidence, as experience has taught me that coincidences are a rarity in my life.  Therefore, there was a definite purpose to this charade.  That she emphasized that I should examine the document very carefully tells me that she wanted me to catch her error, so that she could feign ignorance as to the difference between Roman Catholic and Christian, precipitating further dialog on that subject.  My views on Roman Catholicism, particularly my expose on the Roman Catholic Takeover of America, have not gone over well with many Roman Catholics, as you can probably guess.  And, on more than one occasion, someone has made a comment for the express purpose of getting me to say something derogatory about the Roman Catholic faith and even Islam.

Last year, for example, I was in the hospital for almost a week for a throat infection.  I could not help but notice that when they put me in a room with three beds, they put me in the center bed rather than on the far side of the room.  I’ve been in the hospital quite a few times in my life, and I can tell you that it is common practice to fill a room from the far side to the front.  This enables a patient to be brought in from surgery without having to disturb the other patients.  So, when they put me in the center bed, I already knew something was afoot.  It only remained for me to wait and see what was going to happen next.

Well, to make a long story short, I ended up in a room with two men who appeared to be homosexuals.  One of them came in later the first day, and said that he had some kind of problem that required surgery, but left the third day without any surgery.  This man was placed on my right.  The other man came in the second day and the following morning went in for surgery for a problem with his left ear.  He was placed on my left.  Now pay close attention.  When the second man came up from “surgery,” he was apparently sleeping, and his head and left ear were bandaged.  I could not help but notice that there was blood on his right hand, as though he had been touching his left ear, which supposedly underwent surgery.

To clarify, this man:

  1. was situated on my LEFT, and
  2. had surgery on his LEFT ear, BUT
  3. his RIGHT hand had blood on it, AS IF
  4. he had been touching the wounded LEFT ear, EVEN THOUGH
  5. he was asleep, AND ALTHOUGH
  6. he had just been brought up from the recovery room, AS IF
  7. he had just had surgery.

Do you get the point?  The whole thing was a charade!  But what was the point of it?  Well, that night we were watching TV, as the guy on the other side of me insisted on watching a show that (coincidentally) had something to do with the purported crimes of the Roman Catholic church.  This precipitated, of course, a conversation on religion.  Since I understood what was going on, I played along.  I was surprised, however, when Big Chief Wounded Ear made mention of Islam and said that all Muslims were fanatics.  Now I understood right away that he had hoped that I would make a negative comment about Islam, so I told him that Muslims were not the only ones who were fanatics, and left it at that.

Consider that Luke 20:20 tells us that the scribes and chief priests sent spies out to watch Jesus, who “should feign themselves just men.” Strong’s Concordance says that just, in this context, means “innocent” or “holy.”  In other words, these men pretended to merely want to converse with Jesus when their purpose was to trap Him in His words so that they could accuse Him.  Jesus told us that we could look for Satan’s people to do the same thing to us as they did to Him, as “the servant is not greater than his Master.”  There is indeed nothing new under the sun.

We are in a war, Saints.

How To Watch Television and Still Glorify the Lord Jesus

How To Watch Television and Still Glorify the Lord Jesus

Grace and peace, Saints.

You would be amazed at some of the things that Jesus has shown me.  I know I am.  In 2011, I asked Jesus to do one specific thing for me: to show me how to make the Bible real in my life.  I asked Him to show me how to apply specific teachings, verses, and passages in the Bible to my everyday life so that the Bible would become a living, breathing, reality to me, not just a Book to be picked up on Sunday and forgotten the rest of the week.  I wanted Him to take the mystery out of the Bible.

God heard, and God did.  He answered my prayer.  I have since found that things you and I wouldn’t normally spend much time thinking about actually confirm things that are written of in the Bible and are often prophetic.

Let me give you a practical example of the importance of this.  I don’t much like television.  During my four-year separation from my wife, I lived in St. Louis, Missouri, while she lived here in Munich, Germany.  Our children, who were 10, 9, and 6 at the time, lived with me for the first year and a half of that separation.  Because I wanted to raise my children without the negative influences of television, we owned no television set.  So the only time we would see television is when we visited someone or if there was a television at a McDonalds or something.  After the children went back to their mother, I continued this practice.  On those occasions I did want to watch television, I would watch one of my favorite television shows from the old days on YouTube.  When I wanted to hear the news, I would turn on the radio, read my news feed on the internet, or go down to Schnucks supermarket, where there was a television that was always tuned to CNN. There I would have a donut and coffee and catch up on the news.

When my wife and I reconciled back in March 2012, I had to get used to television all over again, because my wife loves television.  She has also trained my children to love television.  Because the media are not God-fearing people, the programs that the media create do not glorify the Lord Jesus.  They glorify Satan and they glorify sin.  So you can imagine the challenge this presents.   But God showed me how to take what the children see on television and use it to expose Satan’s lies.

Yesterday, for instance, we were watching Cosmo and Wanda (the German title), the cartoon featuring Timmy Turner, and his two fairy friends.  At one point in an episode, there just happened to be two wooden boards and three nails lying on the floor.  One board was longer than the other.  It suddenly occurred to me that Jesus was nailed to a cross constructed of two boards, one longer than the other, and He was fastened to that cross with three nails: one each for his wrists, and one to hold his feet.  Because my children have grown quite accustomed to me doing this, and in fact, catch a lot of things themselves, when I paused the program and asked them what they thought those things represented they understood immediately, and answered correctly.  In fact, only one of them missed the significance of those symbols.  Hey, two out of three ain’t bad.

A couple of days ago, The Chronicles of Narnia was on television.  Now, I have avoided watching this program before and forbade my children to watch it, because I know that the movie is based on a book written by C.S. Lewis, who many believe was a Christian, but who was really into the occult.  Occultism in movies is bad enough, but so-called Christian occultism, or Gnosticism, is much worse.  A child exposed to Gnostic teachings who is not firmly grounded in the faith could be led astray.  Many have been.

In that schoolteachers are exposing our children to occultism through movies and books, I decided that I would watch it together with them and show them not only how Satan is using those movies to beguile children into the occult, but also how he makes his deceptions enticing with very realistic special effects like talking dragons, unicorns, and other mythical creatures brought convincingly to life.  Having been a science fiction and horror movie buff for many years, I know full well the lure of these movies.  I also know that because there is no graphic violence or overt sex or anti-Christ imagery in these movies, a clever teacher can beguile an unwitting child into believing that nothing is wrong with them, and that the parent that objects to them is too “puritanical” and strict.

Many of our children’s teachers are pagans and witches who present themselves as open-minded and easy-going while portraying Christian parents as religious prigs, fanatics, doomsday preachers, Bible-thumpers, homophobes, or anything else they feel threatened by.  If they can get our children to trust them instead of us, they have won the battle.

With this is mind, my children and I watched the program together, and afterwards we discussed it in light of the Bible.  The children understood immediately that Atlan, the lion king, was a metaphor for Jesus Christ.  Of course, there was more symbolism there.  As a matter of fact, the entire adventure was a sort of occult initiation.  But I didn’t discuss this with them.  It sufficed for them to know that Jesus is not in the movie making business, so if we are going to watch television, we had better be on the lookout for the lie Satan is going to try to sell us, because that is always his end game.

I would be lying if I said that I didn’t enjoy the movie.  Like I said, I grew up on this stuff.  That is why I have to be very careful what I watch and what I let my children watch.  Though I’m too stable and grounded in the truth to be misled, I know that this kind of movie is really anti-Christ.  Therefore, I ought not to watch it, nor let my children watch it.

The sequel to The Chronicles followed the original, but I told my children that we would not be watching that.  They were very understanding and decided to go into their room and play.  And that was that.

A New Year’s Resolution (Promise)

Grace, mercy, and peace to the saints, “Live long and prosper” to the pagans, and a “Happy New Year” to all.

I don’t like to make New Year’s resolutions, because if I do, it must, of necessity, follow that I will neither do what I resolve to do, nor complete those resolutions I manage to begin.  Therefore, instead of making a resolution, this year I have made a decision: I have decided to become a real blogger: that is, to blog more frequently.

I want to do this, not only because blogging is supposed to be a frequent activity (which is why blogging is not for everyone, including me), but also because I must do so if I want this ministry to be effective.  Often I will read a passage of Scripture and instantly a teaching will come to mind, while at other times I will come across something from a secular source that validates Scripture or illustrates a particular teaching in the Bible.  I want to share these things with the body of Christ, but because producing a teaching usually involves hours of research and writing, which entails time and energy that I just don’t have, I will file it for later use.  Consequently, I have several teachings that I have been developing off and on for quite some time, while others are ideas that have been sitting in an Evernote notebook for literally months, waiting for me to develop them.  In short, much of what I want to write hasn’t yet been written.  Moreover, being an English major and an editor by nature, I usually obsess over anything I write before and even after I post it.

This behavior, as you can probably guess, is diametrically opposed to blogging.

This is not a good thing; for we have come to realize that this blog is important to many individual Christians as well as a vital ministry for several bourgeoning churches in the U.S. and especially overseas, where there is a dearth in the land for the pure undefiled Word of God and for sound Bible doctrine and sound Bible teaching.  So it is important that we continue to enable the workers in the vineyard to reap the harvest and the pastors to feed their flocks.  We want to ensure that we are constantly getting information out to the body of Christ and getting you to think, because that is what we must do to overcome Satan’s myriad deceptions in these last days.

In order to do this, I am going to start posting more of my thoughts to the blog, which will not all be fully developed teachings, but instead the raw material on which a teaching can be based.  When I see something that I think would edify the body of Christ, rather than trying to develop a teaching out of that thought, I will merely post the Scripture reference (or a secular reference or example with an accompanying Scripture reference) followed by a brief commentary demonstrating its importance to the body of Christ.  When God lays something on my heart that deserves a more thoughtful and involved exposition, I will present it in a fully developed teaching.

In this manner, we hope to enable our readers to conduct their own research and develop a teaching that they can use for their own edification or for their personal ministries.  We feel this will also help us to fulfill another purpose of this ministry: encouragement.  You may have noticed that it has been over two years since we posted any devotions.  We would like to revive this activity as we have gotten many positive responses to them.  The time saved from the other activities may help us to do this.

We also hope to launch a website this year, where the more popular and edifying articles from this blog can be found for quick reference.  We will also link it to the podcast, the YouTube channel, and other resources.  We will continue the blog, as we have found it to be indispensable for getting our thoughts out to you as well as for getting your feedback. We are considering discontinuing the other two blogs, as we have not posted anything to them in quite some time.  We may solicit input from our readers to keep those blogs going.  If we do, we will let you know.

I will also do my best not to pay as much attention to the finer points of writing as is my custom.  The grammar, therefore, may not be the best.  The spelling may be a tad off.  And my reasoning may seem somewhat circuitous.  But I resolve…er…promise…to do my best to get the information out to you.

As always, we covet your prayers for this ministry.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

2014 and the Cult of Mary

mastercard_mariancult

Grace and peace, Saints.

The above photo was posted on New Year’s Eve to Facebook by MasterCard.  Don’t these gestures all look very peculiar? Doesn’t the hand in the center seem to be displaying what looks remarkably like a Nazi salute? Didn’t Adolph Hitler use this same salute? Wasn’t Adolph Hitler a faithful Roman Catholic? Don’t the gestures displayed by the two hands in the left foreground and background resemble the Cult of Mary hand signs that we discussed in our article on the same? Isn’t the Cult of Mary linked to the Roman Catholic church?

Doesn’t one hand appear to be holding an invisible cup? Isn’t the Great Whore, called Mystery Babylon in the Book of the Revelation Chapter 17, said to be holding a “golden cup” in her hand? Isn’t the Great Whore the Roman Catholic church?

What is MasterCard trying to tell us about the year 2014?

Remember, Mystery Babylon communicates through symbols.  Nothing they do is arbitrary.

Think!

A New Year’s Message

Grace and peace, Saints.

Every December 31st, we look forward to the coming new year with great anticipation, optimism, and hope.  The New Year holds the promise of a fresh start and a new beginning.  The New Year symbolizes a chance to make amends, to right wrongs, and to thank those whom we neglected to thank.  It’s an opportunity to start things we haven’t started, and to finish thing we have.  It’s an opportunity to stop procrastinating and to become proactive rather than reactive.  It’s a chance to become doers instead of merely watchers of them who do.  This year you may even get up the nerve to ask that pretty girl at the library out on a date.

The New Year is a chance to become better people: a chance to become better husbands, better wives, better parents, and better neighbors.

Most importantly, the New Year means another opportunity for us Christians to “make full proof” of our ministry: to win more souls for Jesus Christ.  It’s a chance to preach more sermons, to pass out more gospel tracts, to finally witness to our lost family, friends, and neighbors.  And it’s a chance to finally share the gospel with a boss or coworker who desperately needs to hear it.  Maybe you’ve always wanted to start a ministry of your own, but you have no idea what your calling is or what would be the best way to use your talents and abilities for the glory of Jesus Christ.  Well, the New Year presents the perfect opportunity for you to go for it.  Don’t wait for that “still small voice” to tell you what God wants you to do.  Find something to do, and do it.  Get busy for the Lord.  Maybe later that voice will say, “Ataboy!”

The New Year means a time to readjust, redefine, reevaluate, reaffirm, and reorder goals and priorities.  If, for example, in 2013, Satan hindered you from reaching you’re goal of 100 podcasts by year’s end, you merely reaffirm that goal for 2014.  If your goal last year was to witness to at least one person a week, but you managed to witness only a couple of times the whole year, no worries!  Simply set a new goal.  You may even want to reduce your target to something a little more do-able.  The important thing is to set a goal and to shoot for it.  Even if you don’t make it, the confidence and knowledge you gain will be invaluable.  You will also learn the value of setting goals and priorities.  There’s just no way to lose.  As the old saying goes, if you aim for the stars, you just might hit the moon!

The New Year is also an opportunity for us to rededicate ourselves to the Lord.  Perhaps last year we weren’t walking with Jesus as closely as we could have.  Perhaps the cares of this world became too much for us and we veered somewhat off course.  Perhaps our hearts became hardened by the deceptiveness of sin.  Whatever the reason, the New Year means an opportunity for us to get back on track, to repent, to confess, and to show the Lord Jesus that we mean business.

So as we dust the old year off our boots and step into the fresh clean powder of the New Year, let us endeavor to make it the best one yet.  Let us redouble our efforts to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Gospel Tracts: Preaching Without Preaching

witnessing1

Grace and peace, Saints.

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas day.  For the second year, the Spirit led me to distribute gospel tracts in my neighborhood on Christmas Eve, so I picked up where I left off last year, leaving tracts in the mailboxes of apartments and private residences.  I routinely pass out gospel tracts on trains and subways, in doctors and dentist offices, or wherever the Spirit leads me, but this was only the second time I have gone house-to-house distributing gospel tracts here in Munich.

Saints, Jesus gave us a mandate to preach the gospel unto every creature (Mark 16:15), and we are duty-bound to obey.  Now, there are several ways to preach the gospel: and there would have to be, as not all of us are endued with the power, courage, or ability to preach a sermon.  Gospel tracts are a great way to preach the gospel to the lost without ever having to open your mouth.

I like to leave tracts on subway cars and stations, which, in the morning, are usually very crowded with working class people, professionals, and students on their way to work or school.  Munchners, much like New Yorkers, are extremely suspicious of people who walk up to them out of the blue and try to strike up a conversation with them about any subject, let alone the disposition of their eternal soul.  So, it can be a challenge to find a natural way to get the gospel message to them.  That’s where gospel tracts come in.  For many, the only time they have to read is on their commute to work and back home: gospel tracts are a nice alternative to the morning paper.  I usually make my way from the front of the subway to the back or vice-versa handing out tracts at random while preaching a short gospel message.  If someone rejects a tract, I will either attempt to hand it to the person seated beside or across from them, or politely ask if I may place it on the seat beside them.

Because of the historic enmity of Roman Catholicism and Islam to Christianity, a person demonstrating any interest in the gospel message may run the risk of being considered a heretic or an infidel by his family, friends, and relatives.  Leaving a tract on a seat beside someone is therefore not always the best option, as it makes it necessary for the person to make an effort to pick the tract up.  By handing the tract to a person, I give him the opportunity to appear to only want to be nice to me, and he can then take the opportunity to read the tract before discarding it.  For the same reason, I also like to distribute tracts on an empty or half empty subway car, so that an individual has to pick the tract up in order to sit down.  The person may then feign curiosity and read the tract before discarding it.  The important thing is that he has an opportunity to hear the gospel message.  And that’s what it’s all about.

Gospel tracts are also a good way to get the gospel to people with whom you would normally not come into contact on a daily basis.  Munich is much like New York, London, or Japan, where the price of a house is so exorbitant, that most people can only afford to live in an apartment.  You will therefore often find people of various professions and economic brackets living in the same apartment building.  These are busy professionals, who can be difficult to pin down long enough to present them with the gospel message.  Many go from their house to their car and vice-versa, and don’t generally associate with their neighbors or with people outside of their circle of acquaintance.  Leaving gospel tracts in the mailboxes of these people is a harmless, non-intrusive means to present the gospel message to them.

The best thing about a gospel tract is that it’s a great way to get the gospel of Jesus Christ to someone who is not yet ready to hear it.  On many occasions, a person has accepted a gospel tract from me who had just laughed me to scorn for preaching the gospel to him.  Others have agreed to listen to what I have to say and elected to continue to believe what they want to believe.  Yet they accept a tract because, as one man put it, “You never know.”  These people, though they were not yet ready to accept the gospel, had sense enough to know that it is foolish to completely dismiss an opinion without having all the facts.  If they will not hear or accept our witness now, they may later when and if God puts them in a position where the gospel may be their only means of comfort or security.

Reactions to tracts vary drastically.  Some gladly receive them, while others reject them outright.  I once offered a gospel tract to a coworker, who quickly rejected it.  I told him that he didn’t know what he was missing and he said that he knew exactly what he was missing.  This person, as do many, knew something of the gospel and decided that he wanted no part of it.  It was his decision, of course, but he did decide; and that is exactly what we want people to do.  Some will accept a tract, read it through, and discard it afterwards, while others will first accept it, but immediately throw it away once they perceive that it contains the gospel message. One Muslim gentleman actually asked me for a tract, but, after reading a couple of pages, he tore it in half and then tore the halves into halves.  I noted, however, that rather than throw the pieces onto the floor, he carefully placed them into his backpack.

Of all the reactions I have experienced, the most memorable actually occurred this Christmas Eve.  Unable to enter a particular apartment building and noting that the mailboxes were inside the building rather than outside, I left a number of tracts lodged between the narrow space between the entrance door and the door jam.  As I was walking to the next apartment building, I heard a voice behind me and turned to see a woman walking behind me holding the tracts I had just left.  Speaking in German, the woman said that “they” didn’t want the tracts and offered them back to me.  I refused them, however, telling her that she could do with them as she pleased.  Happily, the second apartment building was open, and I went in and placed tracts in the mailboxes there.  I was surprised as I noticed the woman standing outside the building, pacing back and forth, while glaring at me through the glass door.  When I exited the building, she was still standing there, arms folded and with her back to me in disgust.

As I reflected on this, I was reminded of how Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees that they held the key of knowledge and would not go in themselves, but prevented those who wanted to go in from doing so.  There is indeed nothing new under the sun.

Most who discard a tract will simply place it back on the seat or toss it on the floor or ground.  But, occasionally, someone will throw a tract into the garbage.  Only once have I retrieved a tract from the trash, and that was because the guy threw it there right in front of me.  Normally, my rule is to not retrieve a discarded tract, nor to receive a tract back from someone who first accepts it.  The Bible says that God’s Word will not return to Him void.  So, I believe that even if someone throws a tract away, if it is His will, God will make sure the tract gets into the hands of the person for whom it was intended.  I have a personal testimony of this.

The very first gospel tract I ever saw was the Chick tract, “This Was Your Life,” which I found one day when I was around sixteen or seventeen years old.  I had just gotten off the 90 Hampton bus at the intersection of Wabada and Goodfellow in St. Louis, about a block from my house, when I spotted the tract on the pavement, soaking wet from a hard rain.  I could see instantly that it was a comic tract, and being both curious and an avid comic lover, I picked up the tract and took it home.  After placing it on a newspaper and drying it in the oven, I read the tract from cover to cover, though I did not heed the gospel message it contained.  I would read the electronic version of that same tract again, some twenty-five years later, when, after having led a wicked life for many years and tired of sinning, I was ready to accept Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary.  Desperate, I sought out the tract on the internet and happily found it.

So I know first hand the power and effectiveness of gospel tracts, which is why I have made tract distribution a major part of my ministry.  I have even written a couple of tracts myself.  I know that if a discarded, rain-soaked gospel tract can change the life of a poor, seventeen-year-old boy decades later, then a gospel tract, whether found neat and crisp on a seat of a subway car, or pulled, crumpled and soiled, from the garbage, can change the life of someone today.  So, I don’t get discouraged when someone discards a tract.  The will of God will always be accomplished.

Hatred for Christianity and peer pressure from the pagan majority to hate Christianity is so great these days that it takes a very courageous person to show any interest in the gospel message.  But people are hungry for the truth.  Many have tried to find joy and contentment in their religions, in their heroes, in their jobs, in their hobbies, in their spouses, in their friends, in their lifestyles, and in their creature comforts.  All have been left disappointed, empty, and feeling very, very betrayed.   There are many hurting people out there who are ready and willing to hear the gospel message.  They want to know if what they have heard about Jesus Christ is true.  They want to know if He really can bring them joy and peace in this world and eternal happiness in the next.  It is up to us to give them the gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is up to us to give them the information they need to make the most important decision they will ever make.

And that’s the key.  Without information, it is impossible to make an informed decision.  And without complete information, it is impossible to make a completely informed decision.  A person who has not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ does not have complete information.  So any decision a person makes without considering Jesus is not a completely informed decision.

Decisions made without complete information have had catastrophic results.  The so-called War on Terror, for example, which has resulted in the deaths of thousands of men and women and the maiming and disfiguration of hundreds more, all began with a decision based on incomplete information.  Similarly, more than 60 percent of the world population daily makes decisions that may have catastrophic results for their eternal souls based on incomplete information.  These people need to know that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, and that if they die without accepting His sacrifice, they will go to the Lake of Fire burning with fire and brimstone, where they will endure eternal suffering.  If, after hearing the gospel, they still reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation, then they do so with full knowledge of the consequences.  When they come before the Lord Jesus, they will be, as the Bible says, “without excuse.”  This is not our concern, however, as our job is simply to give them the information they need to make an informed decision.

I hope this puts it in perspective for you.  I hope you now understand how important our witness is.  I hope you now understand that the world is making catastrophic decisions because of incomplete information, and that these decisions have eternal consequences.  I hope this kindles or renews a fire in you to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Gospel tracts are available from a number of ministries, such as Chick Publications and One Million Tracts.  If you decide to go with Chick, you may want to read this article first.

May God bless you.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

It’s Christmas, So I’m Supposed To Be Happy…Right?

christmas-depression

Grace and peace, Saints.

Today is Christmas.  Millions of children will be bounding down the stairs or running into the living room to see what Mom and Dad, oh…er…Santa Claus bought…oops…brought them for Christmas.  Today the air will be filled with the sweet sound of cell phone ring tones, the boop and bop of Playstation II’s, the silent padding of fingers on smart phone touch screen displays, the barely audible, yet strangely irritating tapping of Nintendo DS controls, the aimless prating of “talking” dolls, the barking of dogs, the mewing of cats, the happy scurrying of rats, bells ringing, whistles blowing, children playing and fighting, parents arguing, in-laws criticizing, Uncle Arthur Lee bragging on how his son just got promoted to vice president of marketing, Uncle Percy bragging on how his son just got 15 full-rid scholarship offers: Aunt Eunice bragging on how her daughter got a marriage proposal from some senator (who is already married); Uncle Charles putting mistletoe over every woman or girl’s head so he can get a smooch; old, touchy-feely Uncle Chester pretending to be happy to see everybody so he can get a free feel, while his wife’s lethal gaze bores a hole in his neck from her corner on the far side of the room; cousin Constance explaining how her husband Sheldon is so busy managing his successful business that he couldn’t pull himself away from his work long enough to come over for Christmas dinner, when the truth is that he is spending Christmas with his mistress’s family pretending to be her fiancée, and let’s not even go into the bill for all this trouble…Aaahhh, Christmas!

Christmas is supposed to be a joyful time, but let’s face it: for many people, Christmas is not a joyful time at all.  It’s not even a happy time.  For many, Christmas is a time of sadness, loneliness, anger, depression, and profound emptiness.  One reason for this is that we have been programmed by the media to believe that Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, but all the things the media teaches us make Christmas a happy time are material things.  And material things cost money.

Food costs money, but food at Christmas time costs lots of money.  Presents cost money, but Christmas presents cost lots of money.  Airplane tickets cost money, but airplane tickets at Christmastime cost lots of money.  Gas costs money, but gas at Christmastime costs lots of money.  Hotels rooms cost money, but hotel rooms at Christmastime cost lots of money.  Christmas decorations cost money.  Baby food and diapers for the trip cost money.  New dishes and silverware cost money.  That diamond ring you bought your girlfriend in your Christmas-romantic-comedy-induced psychosis cost a gang of money.  And so on and so forth und so weiter.  Money, money, money, money…MONEY!

It should come as no great surprise that those who get all our Christmas money are the same folks who make the movies, television shows, commercials, and music that program you to go out and spend all that money.  Don’t you wish you could send them the bill?

For many, Christmas is also a time to remember lost loved ones.  For these people, one of the happiest times was the last Christmas the whole family was together.  I am one of those people, and, for me, that Christmas happened in 1990.  Four of those who were present at that Christmas gathering no longer walk the earth, while another is at this very moment incarcerated, another is estranged, and yet another is intangible.  Every individual, imperfect, and unique one of those people mattered and does matter to me, so it is impossible for me not to think about them at this time.  Truly, I can understand the deep sadness many feel for this reason during Christmas.

Another reason many are not happy during Christmas is because, for them, it is a time of deep reflection.  When we see others looking so happy (if only on television), we wonder why we are not.  We wonder what is lacking in our lives that keep us from enjoying the same ostensive happiness everyone else enjoys.  We wonder why we are so sad, while everyone else seems so glad.  We have always had the awareness that we are not in a good place, but because most of the people we know are in the same place we are, it is easy to pretend that everything is OK.  But, there is something about Christmas that destroys all our illusions and pretentions.  Christmas is a time of stark reality. (Read Truth: John 14:16).

Another reason many are so sad during Christmas is because they are alone.  Again, we have been programmed by the media to believe that Christmas is a time to be with family, friends, or a loved one.  When we turn on the TV and see families gathered around the dinner table, or friends sharing a cup of hot cocoa in front of the fireplace, or lovers on the couch snuggled up under a blanket with a bowl of hot popcorn watching TV, and we look around us and see nothing but a gas-fired stove and Oscar, the mutt looking pitifully at us, or a Spartan hotel room, or a crowded homeless shelter, or a tent in the dry desert of Iraq or South Sudan or the cold, barren mountains of Afghanistan, we think there must be something wrong with us because, here it is Christmas and we are all alone and have no one to share it with.

Still another reason I imagine many are sad during Christmas is because they feel this might be their last Christmas.  For those lying in a hospital bed or at home with a terminal illness, I imagine it hurts to think that we may never see our loved ones faces around the dinner table at Christmas again.  We may never see our children open another Christmas present.  We may never say “Thanks Dad!” or “Thanks Mom!” and we may never again thank everyone for coming to Christmas dinner.

There are probably a myriad other reasons many are sad during Christmas, and each one of those reasons is legitimate and real to someone.  It would therefore be folly to say that any reason for a person’s sadness during Christmastime is unwarranted.  I will say, however, that while the reason may be warranted, our rea-son-ing is often faulty.  You see, Christmas is not supposed to be a happy time; Christmas is supposed to be a joyous time.  Happiness and joy are not the same thing, though they are often used interchangeably.

We are usually happy when we get what we want, and sad (or at least disappointed) when we don’t.  If we get something we always wanted, we are happy.  Happy is contentment in the secular sense.

The Christian is supposed to be joyful even when we don’t get what we want.  Why?  Because we know that Jesus Christ, who is God Almighty, is able to give us anything we want if He is so inclined.  Therefore, when we don’t get what we want when we want it, we know that 1.  He has something better for us, or 2. He hasn’t given us what we want yet, but will in the future, or 3.  He doesn’t think we need what we have asked Him for.  An All-Powerful God has assured the Christian that if we ask, He will give us anything we want (within reason) according to His will.  Therefore, when we don’t get what we want, when we want it, we know that if we are walking with Jesus like we ought to, regardless of our circumstances, the will of God is being accomplished in our lives.  And the Christian is most joyful when God’s will is being done in his life.  Joyful, then, is contentment in the Christian sense.

For most people, the day which has come to be called Christmas is not the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Jesus was born into the world for one reason and one reason only: to die for the sins of mankind.  All mankind is sinful, and every person who has ever lived needed Jesus to die on the cross for his sins; for it is only the death of Jesus that made it possible for us to escape the condemnation of Hell and judgment and be acceptable to come before the presence of a Holy God.  When Adam sinned, all mankind became separated from God and received a death sentenced.  Ancient man knew this very well, and it was for this reason that the wise men from the East traveled a great distance through many perils just to prostrate themselves at the feet of Jesus.  They were grateful for the sacrifice they knew He would make at Calvary.  It was a joyous occasion for them.

The same holds true for Christians today.  The Christian understands that the Bible says, “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).  He knows that his only hope is in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  He knows the value and importance of the Blood.  He knows that if Jesus Christ had not been born, then He could not have died.  And if Jesus Christ had not died, then all hope would be lost: we would be dead in our sins.  Christmas for the Christian is a time of joy and celebration.

The unrepentant sinner does not know this.  To him, Christmas is whatever the media says it is.  And the media says that Christmas is about presents, food, drinks, and family gatherings.  The media says that something is wrong if you’re alone on Christmas.  The media says that if you don’t put up a Christmas tree, and if it’s not snowing outside, then “it’s just not Christmas.”  Even movies that seem to expose the rampant consumerism associated with Christmas (“How The Grinch Stole Christmas” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” readily come to mind) still convey the message that it must be snowing outside to be Christmas or that Christmas is about family gatherings.  The media makes it about the externals and not the internals.  No wonder so many people are miserable at Christmas.

If you are a person who is sad at Christmas for any reason other than the loss of a loved one or that Christmas is associated with a particularly traumatic event, you have good reason to be: you are still dead in your sins and on a collision course with Hell.  It’s just that simple.  Christmas is not about presents.  Christmas is not about food.  Christmas is not even about families.  Christmas is about Jesus.  If you have not made Jesus Christ your Savior, then you have nothing to be joyous about.

If you are uncomfortable or sad during Christmas for any of the reason except death or trauma associated with the holiday or for any other reason out of your control, take it from me: you have been programmed to feel that way.  Satan does that so that a day which is supposed to be associated with the greatest day in the history of the world and should, therefore be a joyful occasion, is, to the contrary, associated with spending money you don’t have, slaving for hours over a hot stove, dredging up old hurts and tearing the scabs off healing wounds, lying, putting on airs, and being sad and embarrassed for being broke, poor, having no family, and/or being alone.  Satan has made it so that we can’t wait for Christmas to be over with, so we can stop being “happy,” or feeling like a loser for being sad.  This should not be.

If you are sad because it’s Christmas, ask yourself why.  If the reason is because you don’t know Jesus, the Person for whom that day is named, and, therefore, have no relationship with Him, and, therefore are lost and dead in your sins, and, therefore are on your way to Hell, and, therefore, have no hope, and, therefore, have no reason to be joyous, and, therefore, are sad, then why don’t you make Jesus your Savior today?  It takes less than a minute, and will be the best decision you ever made.  Then, God willing, next Christmas you will have cause to celebrate! (or not).

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh!

New Podcast

Grace and peace, Saints.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in a few weeks, but my plate has been pretty full lately.  For the past few days we have been remastering the podcasts, because I noticed that there were quite a few incomplete downloads, probably owing to a combination of low bandwidth and the behemoth file sizes of the audio files themselves.  I had no idea they were that large.  So, I went back to the originals and remastered them, not only reducing their file size for easy downloading, but editing out a lot of the mistakes, noise, and superfluous material.  What remains I believe to be a great deal cleaner and more succinct (except perhaps the series on generational curses).

We have also produced a podcast to accompany our teaching on Intercessory Prayer, which we believe to be extremely edifying.  You can get it at the iTunes Store.

We are working on a number of articles that we believe will be of particular interest to our readers and to the Body of Christ.  We will post them shortly, God willing.  Keep checking back with us.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

New Podcasts

Grace and peace, Saints.

I am in the process of creating podcasts of the important book, Ravening Wolves, written by Christian evangelist, Monica Farrell, wherein I narrate the entire book from cover to cover.  Besides facilitating those who are hearing impaired or simply would prefer to listen to the book rather than read it, I also wanted to create a permanent audio record of this most important work to ensure it would not vanish when the last surviving copies of the book vanish.  It is a valuable historical resource and, as such, should be preserved for posterity.

Book Review: The New Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, by Thomas Nelson

Recently, a Roman Catholic devotee left a comment in response to my YouTube video, The Roman Catholic Takeover of America Part 3, saying that praying to Mary and to dead saints is not wrong.  I replied that the practice of talking to the dead is called necromancy and is forbidden by God in Deuteronomy 18:11.  In praying to Mary, I said, Roman Catholics are practicing necromancy, which is witchcraft.

To get a deeper understanding of the word, I went to Strong’s Concordance of the Bible, but was surprised to discover that there was no citation number listed for necromancer:

 necromancer1

The version of Strong’s I used was The New Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible (hereafter referred to as The New Strong’s), 1990 edition, published by Thomas Nelson.  In the Instructions To The Reader, the publishers have this to say regarding words with no numbers:

“If no number appears, the word may have been supplied by the translators to clarify the meaning, even though no specific Hebrew or Greek word was used to express it.  In other instances, more than one word in the original language was included in the English translations.”

The Bible I used is the 2003 Large Print King James Reference Bible, published by Thomas Nelson.  This Bible uses italics to signify words that did not appear in the original manuscripts and were added by the translators.  The word necromancer does not appear in italics, which means that it was in the original manuscripts and was not added by the translators.  Because The New Strong’s did not include citation numbers for this word, I gathered there was possibly more than one word used for this word in the original manuscripts.

Because The New Strong’s was the first and only Bible concordance I had ever used, I wondered whether this was done in all versions.  So I went online to look for a version of Strong’s Concordance published before 1990 and not by Thomas Nelson.  I ultimately found a 1977 printing of the first edition of the original Strong’s Concordance of the Bible (hereafter referred to as Strong’s) published in 1894 by Abingdon Press.

cover

With regard to English words that appear as multiple words in the original languages, the publishers include this statement in their Directions and Explanations on page 4:
Phrases, groups or combinations of words (not printed as compounds in ordinary Bibles) will be found under each of their words separately.”

This was the case with necromancer, for which Strong’s lists two numbers: 1875 and 4191:

Original Strong's entry for necromancer.

Original Strong’s entry for necromancer.

Strong’s number 4191 corresponds to the English root necro– and is the Hebrew word muwth (mooth), which means “dead.”  The English root –mancer (1875) is the Hebrew word darash (daw-rash’), which means “to ask.”  Necromancer literally means “a person who inquires of the dead.
I referenced the citation numbers in The New Strong’s and found the corresponding entries in the Hebrew Dictionary to be identical to those of the original Strong’s.  In that the original included citation numbers for all words, including compound words and phrases, it begs the question of why Thomas Nelson chose to discontinue this practice with The New Strong’s.  Moreover, Thomas Nelson claims that The New Strong’s “insures even greater completeness and accuracy than the original edition.”  But this claim is suspect at best considering that, at least in the case of necromancer, citation numbers that were present in the original Strong’s are missing in The New Strong’s.
Thomas Nelson also claims that The New Strong’s “enables the reader to locate…every Hebrew or Greek word behind the English words.”  While this may be true in most cases, it is certainly not true in all; for the elimination of certain citations numbers makes some words extremely difficult to find for a person with no knowledge of the original languages.  I cannot read Hebrew, so if I had not gotten the citation numbers for necromancer from the original Strong’s, my research would have been stopped dead.  The New Strong’s, then, rather than en-able me, actually dis-abled me.  And, to add insult to injury, I had to purchase the original Strong’s to complete my research, thus incurring additional time and expense.
Under the circumstances, then, a more accurate phrase would be, “The New Strong’s enables the reader to locate almost every Hebrew or Greek word behind the English words.”

Citation numbers aren’t the only thing missing from The New Strong’s.  The first edition Strong’s includes a Comparative Concordance of the Authorized King James and the Revised Versions:
Original Strong's Title Page

Original Strong’s Title Page

The New Strong’s omits the Comparative Concordance:

newstrongtitlepg

Because the newer bible versions include words that are not found in the Received Text, the original manuscripts on which the King James Bible is based, Strong’s included the Comparative Concordance so that readers of the newer versions could use it.  But whereas Strong’s endeavored to keep the inspired words pure, by publishing the Comparative Concordance as a separate section, The New Strong’s cross-references words from the modern bible versions into the body of the main concordance right alongside words from the inspired text.

Thomas Nelson provides this explanation in this statement from the Publisher’s Preface:

“Variant spellings of proper names from modern versions have been crossed-referenced into the body of the concordance.  This is done so that readers of these versions might be able to use Strong’s while searching for references to words that do not appear in the King James Version.

Thus, the person who uses the Revised Standard Version, the New International Version, or the New American Standard Bible, for instance, and looks up the word Abronah—which appears in these versions—will be directed to Ebronah—the King James Version spelling.”

While this may not seem like much of an issue, it actually is.  The original Strong’s provided the Comparative Concordance for readers of the modern bible versions, while the main concordance was reserved for readers of the Authorized Version.  Many believe that the King James was translated from the inspired Received Text, while the modern versions were translated from the corrupted Alexandrian texts.  In cross-referencing words from the modern versions with those from the King James, The New Strong’s essentially mixes truth with error.

To its credit, The New Strong’s uses computerized typesetting, which makes looking up words easier, and they include several study helps, such as a topical index.  But, given a choice, I would prefer accuracy and completeness over ease of use and the additional helps.

Why did Thomas Nelson do this? you may ask. Thomas Nelson one of the oldest bible publishers in the world and publishes not only the King James, but 18 other versions as well, including the New King James Version and the Voice.  So it would be reasonable to assume that Thomas Nelson’s motive for modifying Strong’s Concordance was to ensure that it would be compatible with the other bible versions they publish.

But there may  be something else to consider.  The Roman Catholic lady I discussed earlier explained that Roman Catholics don’t believe that praying to the dead is wrong, because the dead and living Catholics are all one body.  She added that Roman Catholics believe that prayer is merely a form of communication, and, that it is therefore no more wrong for a Roman Catholic to pray to a dead saint than it is for him to talk with a living person.  Is it possible that Thomas Nelson omitted the citation numbers for necromancer to avoid offending Roman Catholics?  It’s certainly worth considering.

This case is eerily reminiscent of that of Webster’s Dictionary, which we discuss in our article on bipolar disorder, the politically correct term for schizophrenia or manic depressive disorder.  In the article, we explain how Webster’s Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, omits the meanings of the roots schizo (split) and -phrenia (brain) from its definition of schizophrenia, while including the meanings of schaden and freude in its definition of schadenfreude.  Political correctness strikes again.

Ultimately, it is up to you: the individual truth-seeker, to decide whether The New Strong’s is better, stronger, and faster than the original Strong’s.  While it is certainly a valuable resource, The New Strong’s is neither more accurate nor more complete than it’s predecessor.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

A Widowed Church?

Grace and peace to the family of the Most High, and greetings to the kin of Satan.

In his homily at a recent Vatican mass, Pope Francis, the False Prophet of Revelation Chapter 13, reaffirmed a long-standing doctrine of the Roman Catholic church.  He also proved rather conclusively that Roman Catholicism is, in fact, not Christianity, but the ancient worship of Nimrod and Semiramis, the deified king and queen of ancient Babylon.

This is an excerpt of the pope’s remarks:

“Our reconciliation with the Lord…ends when he [sic] gives us back to our mother. That’s where reconciliation ends, because there is no path in life, there is no forgiveness, there is no reconciliation outside mother Church.

“So, as I behold this widowed church, all these things come to mind without a precise order… But I see in this widow, the icon of the widowed church on a journey in search of her Spouse.”

Let us begin by examining the pope’s statement in detail, beginning with his remarks regarding the “widowed church.”

As our readers well know, we have always maintained that the Virgin Mary of the Roman Catholic church is not the biblical Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, but an ancient Babylonian goddess.  Pope Francis’ reference to a widowed church proves this decisively; for a widow is the surviving spouse of a husband who has died.  In that the Spouse of the Christian Church, the Lord Jesus, is very much alive, the “widowed church,” then, cannot be the Christian church.  So, who is this widow?

A clue to the widow’s identity is the pope’s reference to an “icon.”  The use of this word was not arbitrary, as an icon, in the classical sense, is an image or idol (Oxford English Dictionary).

iconfilms

The significance of the one eye in the above logo is that Queen Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod, the first king of ancient Babylon, was also known as Opthalmitis, the “goddess of the eye.”

An idol is a god or goddess, and all gods and goddesses are really Nimrod and Semiramis.  In that the Roman Catholic church worships an idol they call the Virgin Mary, then the “widow” is the Virgin Mary, who is Semiramis.

Proof of this is Pope Francis’ reference to the widow being on a journey in search of her spouse.  The story of a goddess searching for her spouse is remarkably reminiscent of the story of the Egyptian goddess Isis wandering the world in search of the body of her husband, Osiris.  This story is told in the Osirian Cycle.

A more involved account of the Osirian Cycle may be found on the internet, but a brief version is as follows.  Osiris, the black god of the Egyptians, is said to have married his sister/mother/lover Isis.  It is said that Osiris’ brother Seth (also called Set and Typhon), coveted the throne of Osiris, and therefore murdered him.  Seth then cut the body of Osiris into fourteen pieces and sent them to the four corners of the earth.  Isis scoured the world in search of the pieces of her murdered husband, eventually reclaiming all but one: his phallus.  Isis put her husband back together, substituting a golden phallus for the lost one.

This mythological story has its historical counterpart.  In The Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop writes that Nimrod, grandson of Noah and son of Cush, was killed by his brother Shem, the middle son of Noah and the father of the Jewish people.  It is said that Shem then cut up Nimrod’s body into fourteen pieces, which he scattered over the face of the earth.  The bereaved widow searched the world over for the pieces of her slain husband, and managed to retrieve all but one: his phallus.

Nimrod’s phallus is represented today as the obelisk, one of which is prominently displayed in front of the Vatican.

vaticanobelisk1

It is said that there are more Egyptian obelisks in Rome than in Egypt itself.  That is because the seat of Satan and of the Mysteries is no longer in Egypt, but in Rome.

Nimrod was the first king of ancient Babylon.  He was the son of Cush, who was the son of Noah’s youngest son, Ham.  Ham was called Al Khem ,“The Burnt One,” while his son Cush was called Ethiops, “The Black One.”  Cush was the father of the black race, which is why, for centuries, blacks were called cushites and khemites.

Nimrod and his wife, Semiramis, founded a religion centered on witchcraft and human sacrifice.  The Bible calls this religion Mystery Babylon.  Nimrod and Semiramis were deified and worshipped as gods in the ancient world: he as the Sun God and she as the Moon Goddess.  Upon Nimrod’s death, the mystery religion went underground, where it was kept alive through secret societies and religions that used mysterious symbols to represent the deified king and queen.  The adherents of the mystery religion use occult hand signs to communicate to one another.  Eventually, Semiramis became the principle object of worship.

Semiramis was given many different names depending upon the country where she was worshipped and the particular personal quality or attribute she was worshipped under.  In Ephesus, located in modern-day Turkey, she was known as Diana of the Ephesians.  In Rome, she was known simply as Diana.  The apostate Jews worshipped the goddess as Ashtoreth and symbolized her with a star.  Both the Roman Diana and Diana of Ephesus were said to be virgins and goddesses of virginity.  The Romans also called Diana the Lady.

Ironically, Roman Catholics also worship a goddess which they call The Virgin and The Lady.  And, like Ashtoreth, the Roman Catholic church symbolizes this goddess with stars.  You may read more about it here.  The Book of Isaiah also mentions a goddess, which it calls the “Virgin queen of Babylon” and the “Lady of Kingdoms” (Isaiah 47:1-4).

Diana of Ephesus, the Roman Diana, Isis, and Ashtoreth are merely different names for Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod and queen of ancient Babylon.  Pope Francis knows this all too well, which is why he spoke of the Roman Catholic church as a “widow searching for her spouse.”  The Roman Catholic church is Mystery Babylon.

Now let us further examine the pope’s remarks:

“Our reconciliation with the Lord…ends when he [sic] gives us back to our mother. That’s where reconciliation ends, because there is no path in life, there is no forgiveness, there is no reconciliation outside mother Church.

This is a very ominous statement.  The Roman Catholic church has always maintained that there is no salvation outside “Mother Church,” and this belief is embodied in the Roman Catholic rallying cry, “In Majoram Dei Gloriam” (For the Greater Glory of God).  The Roman Catholic church believes it is the true church of Jesus Christ and that any and all measures it deems necessary to bring the world under the iron fist of the Papacy are justified.

Because Christians have always trusted in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation, and not the Roman Catholic Institution, Rome called them Protestants (protest-ants) and branded them as heretics.  The bloody Inquisition was instituted to persecute Christians and Jews and, if possible, to forcibly convert them to Roman Catholicism.  Under this brutal engine of terror, millions of Christians and Jews have been tortured and martyred.

But something totally unforeseen happened.  The more Christians were persecuted, the stronger they became.  So, Rome took a more subtle approach.  Beginning with Vatican II, the Roman Catholic church ostensibly abandoned the incendiary rhetoric, and seemed to embrace Christians as brothers.  Instead of Protestants and heretics, Rome began to refer to Christians as “evangelicals” and “separated brethren.”  Under Pope John Paul II, a new era of cooperation and togetherness was born, as Christians and Roman Catholics sat down together at the table of fellowship (or not).

But a leopard cannot change its spots—and neither can the Vatican.

Pope Francis is the first Jesuit pope in history.  The Roman Catholic church formed the Jesuit Order for the express purpose of destroying the Protestant Reformation and the Christian Church.  Pope Francis’s namesake, Saint Francis of Assisi, was known as the Reformer.  By his remarks, Pope Francis seems to be on a similar mission to reform the Roman Catholic church by returning it to its militant roots.

And I have no doubt that Roman Catholics understood that this was exactly what he meant. Proof of this is the following comment a Roman Catholic devotee left in response to my YouTube video “The Roman Catholic Takeover of America.” CAUTION: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE:

heretic

You will no longer find this comment, as YouTube has removed it.  My reply, however, is still there.  As you can see, Christians are still considered heretics by the Roman Catholic church.  Absolutely nothing has changed.

Mother Church is the Widow, and the Widow is Semiramis, called The Virgin Mary.  When Pope Francis, therefore, says that there is no salvation outside Mother Church, he is saying that there is no salvation outside The Virgin Mary.  Given the historical enmity between Rome and the Christian church, the Pope’s statement was nothing less than a veiled declaration of war upon all Bible-believing Christians: veiled, that is, to the undiscerning Christian.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Keep On Doing Good!

Grace and peace, Saints.

A reader sent me the following email:

“I am 42 years old, never been married and never find a need for one and I work very hard but never get credit for my effect (promotions keep passing me by) and find it difficult to make my mind up.  I have been told to go for prayers.”

Many of us feel we don’t get the proper credit for our efforts or receive the recognition or gratitude we think we deserve.  And most of the time, our feelings are justified.  It is not wrong for us to feel this way, but it can be harmful for us spiritually.  One of Satan’s favorite ways to discourage us is to cause those from whom we most want or need appreciation to withhold that from us.

I have a personal testimony of this.  In my post, “Please, Just Say Thank You,” I tell of an incident that centered on the lack of appreciation I have experienced in my marriage.  When we don’t get the gratitude, laud, or appreciation we think we deserve or have earned, it could be devastating to our feelings of self-worth.  If we are not careful, those feelings can build up inside us until they reach a point where they either break us or we break something.  This is not good.

It is a good thing when people appreciate us for what we do: for the extra effort we give, for the overtime we put in, or for the sacrifices that we make.  But we should understand that in this age of apostasy, genuine gratitude will be hard to come by.  The Bible says that in the last days men would be “unthankful” (2 Timothy 3:2).  The farther a person is from God, the less grateful that person will be.  Saints, we are in those last days.  Often the only thanks we ever get is knowing that something needed to be done and we did it.  And the only person who will tell us “thanks” for what we do will be ourselves.

At the end of the day, it comes down to why we do what we do.  To do a thing because we want others to appreciate us is to do it for a selfish reason.  To do a thing because it needs to be done, however, is to do it for an unselfish reason.

It’s nice to be appreciated, but we should not do things expecting praise.  The Bible says:

“Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ:

“Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart” (Ephesians 6:6).

Though Paul uses the word servant, he wrote this to the church at Ephesus.  So it applies to all Christians.  As Christians, we ought to do things because Jesus wants us to.  We should do the will of God.  And we should do it “from the heart,” meaning that we do the will of God because we want to.  “What is the will of God in this matter?” you may ask.  I believe this verse speaks most directly to this:

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:9-10).

The will of God is that we do good unto all men.  “All” means everybody: that includes our husbands.  That includes our wives.  That includes our children.  That includes our in-laws. That includes our friends.  That includes our enemies.  That includes our neighbors.  And that most certainly includes our bosses.

Notice that our well doing is not conditional: that is, it is not contingent upon whether or not the beneficiaries of our well doing appreciate it.  We are to do well—period.

Is it good to be the best you can be on your job, even though you always get passed over for promotion?  You bet it is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good for a husband to be there for his wife, even if she doesn’t seem to appreciate it?  You bet it is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good for a father to be there for his children, even if they don’t seem to care? You bet it is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good for a wife to prepare tasty meals for her family, even though her family doesn’t seem to notice the difference between that delicious pork roast you cooked for dinner and a boloney sandwich?  You bet it is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good for you to be good to your neighbors, even though your neighbors are always evil towards you?  You bet it is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good for you to respect your parents, even though your parents don’t always respect you?  You bet is is: so keep on doing good.  Is it good to be a good student, even if no one seems to care whether you get A’s and B’s or C’s and D’s?  You bet it is: so keep on doing good.

Now, God understands that we will eventually get tired of this.  We will get weary of doing well, no matter how much we want to do His will.  What God is saying is that we should not let our weariness get the best of us.  We should keep on doing well, even though we are weary.  If it is our will to do His will, God will always give us the strength to keep on keeping on.

If we do this thing, God will reward us “in due season.”  God knows how hard it is to keep doing good when seemingly everyone around us revels in doing evil.  God knows how hard it is to keep doing good when even our best efforts often go unappreciated.  So He gives us hope.  He tells us that if we continue in well doing, there is a reward waiting for us.

The Bible says that all things have an end.  The days of ingratitude are numbered.  There will come a day when we will reap the reward of our steadfastness.  There will come a day when we will reap the reward of our faithfulness.  There will come a day when we will reap the reward of our patience.  And there will come a day when we will reap the reward of our well doing.  But that day will come “in due season.”  It will come when God says so.

So, if it seems like you have been giving it your all and it feels like no one notices or even cares, I want you to know that someone does care.  Jesus cares.  And believe me, at the end of the day, He is the only one who really matters.

P.S. You don’t have to be a Christian to do the will of God, but the only way to stay in the will of God is to know the will of God.  And the only way to know the will of God is to know He whom God sent: the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible says that no man knows God except the Son whom He has sent.  The only way to truly know God is to make Jesus your personal Savior.  Why don’t you make Jesus your Savior today?  (Click here.)

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Lord, Pardon Thy Servant In This Thing

Grace and peace, saints.

Yesterday, I picked my boy up from school, and, as usual, asked him how his day went and what he did.  He told me that during art period, he was asked to draw a picture featuring a six-pointed star.  Now, my son knows that the six-pointed star is an occult symbol, so he told his teacher that he didn’t want to draw it.  She responded that she needed to see how well he could design with a ruler and pencil.  So, he said, he went ahead and drew the star, but not before praying silently to God and asking Him to forgive what he was about to do.

Saints, this is proof that the spiritual instruction we give our children is not in vain.  On at least one occasion, I have taught my children that though we are to make it clear to the world that there are things that we, as Christians, will not do, we should not refuse to take part in an activity if our refusal would cause disunion, disruption, disharmony or, worse, the loss of our job.  This holds true even though a particular activity may be inconsistent with our faith.  I know what you’re thinking, but please, hear me out before you dismiss this teaching.

There is biblical precedent for what I say.  You may recall that in the Second Book of the Kings, Naaman, the Syrian general, was healed of leprosy by Elisha the prophet.  Naaman was grateful to God for healing him, and, from that moment on, resolved never to worship any other god but the Lord God of Israel (2 Kings 5:17b).

But Naaman was a man of many responsibilities, and one of those responsibilities was to accompany the king into the house of his idol to worship.  Now Naaman was an honorable man, and he had already promised that he would no longer worship any other God than the Lord.  However, being a practical man and loyal to his king, Naaman did not shirk his responsibility.  Though this may have created a temporary dilemma for Naaman, he solved it quickly.  Naaman asked God to forgive him for fulfilling this particular obligation:

“In this thing the Lord pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the Lord pardon thy servant in this thing” (2 Kings 5:18).

Naaman understood that though he had a moral obligation to God, he also had a practical obligation to his boss, the king.  We should apply this object lesson in practicality to our own lives.  It is not always prudent to refuse to do something because it is inconsistent with our faith.  Having said that, we should refuse to do anything that clearly conflicts with the will of God.  Mishak, Shadrack, and Abednego were justified in refusing to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar’s idol, because God has commanded us not to commit idolatry (Exodus 20:3-5).

I have a personal testimony of the same.  A few months ago, one of my daughters had an art project that consisted of making an astrological chart with the signs of the zodiac and their respective personality traits.  God expressly forbids astrology in Deuteronomy 18:11 (an “observer of times” is an astrologer).  Astrology is witchcraft; so when I saw my daughter working on the astrological chart, I told her that she would by no means complete it.  I then talked to her art teacher and explained that astrology is inconsistent with my family’s Christian faith and therefore, my daughter could not complete the project.  Her teacher was very understanding, and agreed to allow my daughter to do another project.

Even though my daughter would not be practicing astrology by completing the project, she had only a rudimentary knowledge of astrology; so she would have to research the various astrological signs and their meanings.  The Bible says that we should be wise concerning good and ignorant concerning evil.  Astrology is evil, so, in researching astrology, my daughter was becoming wise concerning evil.  As a Christian parent, I am responsible for my daughter’s spiritual well being.  So my actions were justified.

My personal testimony and that of Meshak, Shadrack and Abednego differ with that of Naaman, in that Naaman wasn’t being asked to commit idolatry or to break some other commandment of God.  He only had to accompany the king into the house of his idol.  Though Naaman understood he had a moral obligation to serve only God, he also knew that he should not refuse to perform his official duties on religious grounds.  To resolve the conflict, therefore, and to appease his conscience, Naaman begged God’s pardon and fulfilled his obligations.

And that’s the key.  It is our conscience that condemns us.  So, when we are compelled to do something that is inconsistent with our faith—either out of necessity or circumstance—we should ensure that our conscience does not condemn us.  And the only way we can do that is to have a firm grasp on what is sin and what is not.

Paul gives two very good examples of this in Romans 14 and 1 Corinthians 8, both of which have to do with eating meat.  In Romans, Paul says that Christians who are vegetarians are weak in the faith, not understanding that all things are lawful to eat (14:1-2).  However, he says that to keep from destroying the faith of such a person, we should not eat meat in front of him.  Likewise, he says in 1 Corinthians 8:10 that we should not eat meat offered to idols in front of one coming out of idolatry because it may embolden him to eat it also against his conscience.  Whatever we do, we ought to do it with a clear conscience, because “whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23).

The key, therefore, to what we can and cannot do is in knowing the will of God.  If it is not a violation of God’s commandments, or a clear heresy or abomination in the sight of God, it’s a judgment call.  And we should always use good judgment.  If the thing that we are compelled to do does not conflict with God’s will, we should not worry that God will condemn us or be displeased.  God is practical.  He knows that though we are not of this world, we still must live in this world.  And there are certain things that we just have to do to keep the peace, to keep order and discipline, and to keep our jobs.  The key is to use judgment and discernment.

That’s why I was so proud of my son for what he did.  He tried not to do something he didn’t feel was right.  But when his teacher insisted, he agreed to do it, rather than make a fuss about it.  He just made sure he asked God’s forgiveness beforehand.

And that’s what we have to do.  We ought to avoid sin and do that which is right in God’s sight.  But we must also remember that though we have one foot in heaven, the other foot is planted firmly on terra firma.  Remember, God has called us to peace.

“If it be possible, as much as lieth within you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18).

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

And Africa Shall Be At His Steps

Grace and peace to the household of faith.

In Joseph Kony, CNN, and the New World Order, we told you that the unprecedented turmoil in Egypt and other African countries is prophetic.  The Bible says that all this unrest is due to the Antichrist’s efforts to control the riches of those countries:

“He (the Antichrist) shall enter also into the glorious land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

“He shall stretch forth also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

“But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps” (Daniel 11:41-43).

In that the Antichrist is Pope Benedict XVI, that means that the Vatican is the root of the problem.  The Cult of Mary, which are those who worship the goddess, Semiramis, now called Mary, communicate with occult hand signs.

Consider this as you view the following photo, which I took of CNN’s coverage of the Egyptian demonstrations calling for the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi:

egypt-mary-cult

As you can see, this man is flashing an obvious Cult of Mary hand sign.

Many whom we see in the media supposedly demonstrating against a dictatorial regime are not doing it for the reasons they claim.  Their allegiance to the Antichrist and his Star Goddess comes before their professed allegiance to their countries.  This also holds true for many in the United States of America.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Occult Hand Signs and the Cult of Mary

Grace and peace to my fellowservants who have the testimony of Jesus Christ, and greetings to the servants of Satan.

According to Chapter 19 of the Book of Acts, the idol known as Diana of Ephesus was worshipped all over the world.  Alexander Hislop, in The Two Babylons, writes that Diana was merely another name for Semiramis, the queen of ancient Babylon and the wife of Nimrod.  It was Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah, and his father, Cush, who built the tower of Babel.  When God confused the Babylonians’ speech at the Tower of Babel and scattered the people to the four winds, those ancient people took the worship of Nimrod and Semiramis with them, and Babylon became the center of paganism for the world.

According to Hislop, Nimrod was a very evil man, who practiced many abominations before the Lord, including child sacrifice.  For this, he said, Noah’s son, Shem, the father of the Jewish race, killed Nimrod.  Nimrod’s body was then cut into fourteen pieces and sent all over the world as a warning to all who dared continue in this religion.

Consequently, Nimrod’s worshippers took their religion underground, where it was kept alive through occult secret societies.  It was then known as the Mystery Religion.  The members of these societies used secret handshakes, passwords, tokens, and other symbols to secretly identify themselves to one another when in the company of the “profane” (those who were not initiated into their secret religion).  This practice continues today in secret societies such as the Freemasons.

Semiramis was the head of this occult system of idolatry, and, like Nimrod, she was also deified, and, eventually, became the principle object of worship.  Being the wife and counterpart of Nimrod, who was worshipped as the Sun God, Semiramis was worshipped as the Moon Goddess.

Since Semiramis was worshipped all over the world, she was known by different names all over the world, depending on the country, the language, and the particular personal quality, or, attribute, under which she was worshipped.  She was thus called Myrianimus, “the goddess of ten thousand names” (Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons). In Greece, for example, she was known as Demeter, which means “Mother of God.”  It is believed that Semiramis was given this title because her husband, Nimrod, was also her son.  Demeter was also the Greek goddess of cereal grains (Oxford Dictionary), and, as such, she was worshipped among the Romans as Ceres.  It is from this word that we get our modern word, cereal.   Ceres was symbolized by an ear of wheat (Oxford).  The reader may find it interesting that ears of wheat appeared on the reverse side of the American one cent piece from 1909 to 1958. The pennies were thus called “wheat pennies.”

In that the original design of the obverse of the wheat penny was to feature the head of Liberty (another name for the goddess), it is a given that the wheat symbolizes Ceres.

Original image by Wehwalt of model of proposed obverse of 1909 one cent piece by Augustus Saint-Gaudens (died 1907).

The Romans also called the goddess Diana, the goddess of virginity and of the moon. Diana was also the goddess of the sea, and, as such, the Greeks called her Aphrodite, which means, “foam born.”  The Latin or Roman word for sea is mari or mare, which, Anglicized, becomes Mary.

It is under the title of Mary, the goddess of the sea, that the Roman Catholic church worships Diana or Semiramis, the Queen of Heaven.  This is why seashells, water, the color blue (as well as blue-green), and waves of the sea are all symbols that the Catholic church uses for Mary.

During the Dark Ages, so-called because the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was almost completely extinguished, the Roman Catholic church, through its brutal Inquisition, suppressed all knowledge of salvation through our Lord Jesus.  During this time, the ancient pagan worship of Nimrod and Semiramis resurfaced with a vengeance.   Then Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the door of All-Saints Church at Wittenburg, and the Protestant Reformation was born.

With the Reformation came the knowledge of the True Savior, Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, and the Light of the Gospel illuminated the dark recesses of the world.  With the worship of Jesus Christ, the One True God, came the knowledge that goddess worship is idolatry.  So, again, the Mystery Religion, as it did upon the death of Nimrod, went underground.

But Rome has never stopped working to subvert Christianity and again bring the world under the iron fist of the Papacy.  The devotees of the Mystery Religion of ancient Babylon have infiltrated key areas of society and have slowly but surely succeeded in subverting the true knowledge and worship of God while simultaneously indoctrinating the world into paganism.  Their light workers have infiltrated all spheres of society: government, education, the arts and sciences, sports, entertainment, the military, and even religion.

The Hollywood Motion Picture and Entertainment industry has arguably been Mystery Babylon’s most successful tool to indoctrinate the masses into the Mystery Religion of ancient Babylon. Many celebrities can be seen flashing peculiar hand signs, which I believe are a means of communication between initiates of the Mysteries.  We will discuss two of these hand signs, both of which can be traced back to the worship of the goddess Diana.

Note the left hand of this illustration of Diana of Ephesus from page 29 of Alexander Hislop’s The Two Babylons:

 dianaephesus-hislop2

Notice that baby finger is held apart from the index-, middle, and ring fingers, which are held together, forming a “V.” Now examine the following photos:

emurphy_hloose

angelinajolie

mobama_fallon

Coincidence?  I doubt it.

Sometimes this hand sign is formed by separating the index finger from the others which are held together. Since both forms can be seen being displayed by the goddess in the famous painting “Birth of Venus” by Botticelli, it is further proof that this hand sign is associated with the goddess Venus:

Venus, the goddess of the sea

The second hand sign is formed by holding the middle and ring fingers together while leaving a gap between them and the index and baby fingers, forming an “M.”  This sign is also associated with the goddess Diana as illustrated by the following photo:

DianaEphesus

The middle fingers of Diana in the above image are not held together, but the fact that they are held in exactly the same position in both hands as well as the positioning of the hands themselves, makes it clear that something is happening here.

Now examine the following photos:

Michelle Obama flashes occult handsign

tinaturner_vvv

Some believe Adolph Hitler to have been a Freemason, since he was reportedly a member of the Thule Society, another occult secret society, and believe he sported the “M” sign to signify his allegiance to Masonry. But, because Hitler was also a very fervent Roman Catholic, if it is an M he is displaying, then it is most likely for Mary.

Saints, resist the temptation to write this off as unimportant.  It is very important. Goddess worship is alive and well, and goddess worshippers are not just entertainers or religious nuts.  Many of these people are very prominent and influential, and are people to whom has been entrusted our safety and our very lives.  These people all worship the goddess, though they may not all be Roman Catholic.  Witches, for instance, worship the goddess as Diana, the goddess of witchcraft, while many New Agers who are into nature worship, call the goddess Rhea, Mother Nature, or Mother Earth.  Different name, same goddess.

This should concern you, as many of these people are our family, friends, pastors, bosses, coworkers, babysitters, and others whom we trust.  They claim to worship God, but they really worship the Virgin Mary. Since much of the world already worships the goddess, it will be a light thing for them to call her Mary instead of whatever they call her now. Ultimately, all who worship the goddess will worship the Virgin Mary.

Do not be deceived by appearances. Regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, religious affiliation, or political or ideological bent, these people ultimately have only one allegiance, and that is to the Pope of Rome and his star goddess, the Virgin Mary. And I assure you that allegiance comes before everything else, including–and especially–God, family, and country.

The Bible says, “a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8).  These people, regardless of their claims to love and follow Jesus Christ, are not our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Jesus said that a slave cannot have two masters, as he will love one and hate the other.  If, therefore, they love Mary, then they will hate Jesus.  And if they hate Jesus, then they will also hate all who follow Jesus–you and me.  We will soon see the manifestation of this.

Now that you know what to look for, what follows is a running collection of people: famous and infamous, known and unknown, real and imagined, all showing their allegiance to the goddess.  The Bible says that all the world, except for true Bible-believing Christians, will worship the Antichrist and his idol.  Since this idol is most commonly known today as the Virgin Mary, I will henceforth refer to these people as the Cult of Mary.

In that a great many of these people are Roman Catholic, and are influencing America’s morals and values, you may want to click here.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

NOTE: Because a photo captures merely a fraction of a moment, a gesture that may appear occult could be completely unintentional.  If, however, several photos depict an individual making what appear to be occult hand signs…well, you decide.  The point is that we need to be paying attention. God bless you.

A bit of history about the above photo.  This is Charles Joseph Whitman, a former Marine and student at the University of Texas at Austin.  On August 1, 1966, Whitman went on a shooting rampage from the observation deck of the university’s tower, killing 16 people and wounding 32 others.  The massacre happened after Whitman allegedly killed his wife and mother in their homes.

charles-whitman-marian-cult

Whitman was killed by Austin Police Officer Houston McCoy, assisted by Austin Police Officer Ramiro “Ranger Ray” Martinez.  As you can see, the middle fingers of Whitman’s right hand unmistakably display the Cult of Mary hand sign.  The fact that Whitman was dead when this photo was taken, and other photos of the body, such as the one below, do not appear to depict Whitman’s fingers in this position, are certainly cause for reflection.

The University of Texas shooting was one of the first so-called school shootings, and we believe that incidents like this as well as Columbine, The Norway Massacre, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, the Trayvon Martin shooting, and all similar shootings are all part of Step Four of Phase Three of the Roman Catholic Takeover of America, which is the total disarmament of the American people.

Cult of Mary hand signs can be found in a number of Chick gospel tracts, including  several volumes of the Crusader series of comic book tracts.  I wrote Jack Chick to voice my concern about this and was told that the inclusion of the hand signs in those tracts was not intentional.  This claim is dubious at best.  In light of what you now know, you should understand that Chick Publications is very likely controlled opposition.

A record of my correspondence with Chick Publications on the issue of occult imagery in their gospel tracts can be found here, here, and here.

I took the above photo of “comedian” and sellout extraordinaire, Kevin Hart, from a YouTube video documenting the many black male entertainers who have dressed in drag at some time in their careers.  It depicts Hart in a Saturday Night Live skit in which the comedian, dressed in women’s attire and donning a mitre, is elected the first black female pope.

Ironically, the clip directly follows an interview with Hart, during which he says that he would never wear a dress, as “a person has to have limits,” or words to that effect.  Um-hmmm.

Now look at these last photos of the “baby jesus” and the photo of Pope Benedict XVI depicted earlier, and ask yourself why the Roman Catholic church often depicts “Jesus” naked.  Is depicting God naked a way to show respect, reverence, and honor?  Is it merely a coincidence that the Virgin Mary and Pope Benedict XVI are both fully clothed, while “Jesus” is in this unflattering condition?  Did you know that it is customary for the victor in a war to strip his enemy naked and parade him so around town to humiliate him?

By now, you should realize that many of our so-called heroes are nothing more than flawed human beings, many, if not most of whom, have sold out in some way.

Muhammad Ali, formerly Cassius Clay, is no exception.  I believe Muhammad Ali was part of the Jesuit plan to destroy the Black Christian Church–the last bastion of Protestant Christianity in America.  His role, I believe, was to turn Blacks away from the God of the Bible, by spreading the lie that Christianity promoted slavery and racism, while promoting Islam as a Black man’s religion.  Remember that at one point Ali was very close to Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam.  Watch the video below and see if you agree.

A couple of things that I want you to notice:

1. Ali’s mention of “the pope,” which almost looks like a slip of the tongue.  Back in those days, most Blacks were Protestants and knew that Roman Catholicism was not Christianity and, thus, would not connect the pope with Christianity.  In other words, Muhammad Ali was never a true Christian to begin with, so converting to Islam was no major feat for him.

2. His hands.  He uses the Cult of Mary hand sign a couple of times.

Internet shock jock, Tommy Sotomayor, has caused quite a stir among many Blacks, particularly women, as he often speaks disparagingly of Blacks in general and portrays black women in a way that is very unflattering.  He also uses a great deal of profanity.

In that the Bible admonishes us to speak evil of no man (Titus 2:2) and to use “sound speech that cannot be condemned” (Titus 2:8), then we know that Mr. Sotomayor is not on a mission from God.  Who he is on a mission for, should be obvious by the Cult of Mary hand sign he is sporting.

Now someone is bound to say, “No! Not Satchmo!”

But read what Wikipedia has to say about Armstrong’s religious proclivities:

“When asked about his religion, Armstrong would answer that he was raised a Baptist, [though he] always wore a Star of David, and was friends with the Pope.  Armstrong wore the Star of David in honor of the Karnofsky family, who took him in as a child and lent him the money to buy his first cornet.

“Louis Armstrong was, in fact, baptized as a Catholic at the Sacred Heart of Jesus church in New Orleans, and he met popes Pius XII and Paul VI, though there is no evidence that he considered himself a Catholic.”  [Emphasis mine.]

In that the Star of David is not a symbol of the Jewish people, but, in fact, is a symbol for the Phoenician fertility goddess, Ashtoreth, which was also worshipped by the apostate Jews, including King Solomon, (Amos 5:26, Acts 7:43), and is now worshipped in the Roman Catholic church as The Virgin Mary, the goddess of the sea, then it is highly likely that Armstrong wore the Star of David to pay homage to this same goddess.

While researching Louie, I found out so many startling things about the man, that I have decided to add him to our list of Deceitful Workers.

Here’s Satchmo again:

Trayvon Martin and the Roman Catholic Takeover of America

racheljeantel1

Grace and peace, Saints.

I have not followed the whole Trayvon Martin diversion very closely, because I understand that though it has major significance for the future of the world, there are more important things that deserve my attention: namely, the Roman Catholic Takeover of America.  So, I have not written much about the Trayvon Martin case except to say that it is part of Satan’s plan to destroy the United States.

However, when I viewed Pierce Morgan’s interview with Trayvon’s girlfriend, Rachel Jeantel, I had to know what, if anything, of substance she had to say.  Until I saw the interview, I had wondered why the media were giving so much press to this unfortunate girl.  You see, Trayvon’s dead, and he’s not coming back.  Zimmerman was acquitted, and we can’t change that.  So, knowing that the media always wants us to look left when we should be looking right, I wondered, “Why Rachel Jeantel, and why now?”

Then I heard her say that Trayvon called George Zimmerman a “creepy…cracka,” and that there was nothing wrong with the word “crack-a.” Then I knew: this girl is on a mission.  Jeantel differentiated “crack-a” (with an “a” ending) from “crack-er” (with an “er” ending), saying that while the latter is a racist term, the former is just Miami street speak.  She also said that there is nothing wrong with the word “nigga” for the same reason.

Rachel Jeantel’s “hood wisdom” combined with the fact that she used a Cult of Mary hand sign (the index, middle, and ring fingers held together and the pinky finger separated) several times during the interview, convinced me that this terribly deceived young lady is a hired gun for the Roman Catholic church and other forces that want to widen the racial divide in America and bring us closer to our own destruction.

The message of Rachel Jeantel is that if it is OK for blacks to call whites “crackers,” then it is OK for whites to call blacks “niggers.”  Now you can argue semantics all you want, but you had better understand that a great portion of the population has deviant tendencies, and a great many of these people are directly affected by what they see on television.  These very people will be in the streets openly calling each other “crackers” and “niggers.” Why? Because Rachel Jeantel said it was OK.

Question: Who is Rachel Jeantel?

Answer: A “celebrity.”

Question: Why should we seriously consider anything she says?

Answer: Because she’s a “celebrity.”

If you think I’m being facetious, you should read the following comments from an article discussing this very subject.  The last comment is of particular interest.  Read the original article and the comment here.

racheljeantel_cracka

Convinced?

Now we know why the media have made Rachel Jeantel a celebrity.  They have made her the official spokesperson for black America, and this spokesperson says that it’s okay to say, “nigger” and “cracker,” if you “put an ‘a’ on it.”  The “Reverend” Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should have held press conferences thirty minutes after the interview, to quickly denounce Jeantel.  But they won’t, because, in the words of Malcolm X, they all “have the same paymaster.”

Think about this very carefully, because if it is okay to say, “nigger” (okay, “nigga”) and “cracker” (okay, “cracka”), then, it’s okay to say “chink,” “gook,” “spick,” “deigo,” “beaner,” and any other racial term we feel is appropriate.  All we have to do is add an “a” to the end of it.  Or any other vowel, in fact; for Ms. Jeantel referred to Asians as “chino niggas.”

If we had not been so desensitized to violence and crude hateful language by the Hollywood Motion Picture and entertainment industries, which produces “hip hop” music, we would be enflamed by this development.  That many of us are not, however, is a litmus test of our own depravity.

The black community especially had better wake up to what is going on.  This trend toward racial slurring being promoted by Jeantel and many Blacks is not appreciated by many other ethnic groups.  Blacks appear to many in the world as problematic.  Blacks are being painted as separatists and are seen by many as pampered, spoiled, arrogant, unappreciative, self-righteous, and–believe it or not–racist.  It will come to pass that not only will certain whites want to see blacks out of the way, but virtually every other ethnic group as well.  In the present media-fueled, but totally bogus, climate of world harmony, blacks are being made to look the dissemblers.  It will come to pass that when the “final solution” is proposed, no one–BUT NO ONE–will stand up for us.

It is too late for me to say, “Wake up America,” for we have been asleep for far too long and have become accustomed to blissful slumber.  Therefore, I will simply say what Jesus said, when He could not get His disciples to stay awake and keep watch:

“Sleep on!” (Matthew 26:45).

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Cutting Off Their Own Noses

Grace and peace to the heirs of the promise, and greetings to those to whom has been bequeathed eternal destruction.

Lately I have been seeing increasing hostility towards the Gospel message and the carriers of that message: the body of Christ.  Of course, this is a fulfillment of prophecy, but it is nonetheless a disturbing trend.

I found out, for instance, that back in 2011, two men were arrested for reading the Bible in front of a Department of Motor Vehicles location to those who were waiting in line.  Thankfully, they were soon released, but I couldn’t help but think about what the Bible says about these last days in regards to our witnessing.

“And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God…” (Revelation 20:4a).

Owning a Bible and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be punishable by death.  Saints, those days will soon be upon us.  We are not to be troubled, however, as Scripture goes on to say:

“And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4b).

What a blessed reward for our faithfulness!  Now I ask you: Is eternal life worth giving up  this comparatively short life for?  It is for me!

What I wanted to say, however, is that though it will be the government that will take away our right to witness, it will be our fellow Americans who will scream for that right to be taken away.  In so doing, they will be putting the shackles on their own wrists, for   witnessing is protected speech under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.  What they do to us, they also do to themselves.

Think about this: One would have to be marvelously blind not to see that our government is hostile towards the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Many in our government would like nothing more than to see all free speech taken away.  They abhor our right to demonstrate and to picket.  And they detest our right to question their actions and motives.  And they hate our right to petition the government for redress of grievances.  They, therefore, hate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights not only because they guarantee these freedoms, but because they make the government answerable to “the rabble.”  As a prominent Confederate once said, “Nothing is more abhorrent to me than government that seeks to elevate the populace into the governing class.”  Freedom of speech is a threat to tyranny.

Witnessing, however, is a comparatively benign activity.  Christians are not interested in politics per se.  We are interested in souls.  Christians do not seek to subvert or destroy earthly kingdoms: rather, we seek to win souls for the kingdom of Heaven.  Israel was occupied by Rome during Jesus’s entire ministry, yet not once did Jesus mention overthrowing Roman rule.  Jesus has even commanded Christians to respect governmental authority.  So from a purely political perspective, witnessing is the least threatening of all protected speech.  In fact, it is not a threat to government authority at all.

However, in that politics is ultimately an extension of religion, and the United States government is controlled by the Roman Catholic church, a religion that has historically sought to eliminate all personal freedoms, especially freedom of conscience, then it only follows that Christians would be a threat to the government.  For Jesus is liberty.

The government will use its hatred of Jesus and all Christians as the means by which it will eliminate all personal freedoms, beginning with free speech.  Because Americans are becoming increasingly rebellious and hostile to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are pushing to curtail Christians’ right to preach that Gospel.  And they are willing to do away with the First Amendment altogether to make it happen.  And the government will be all too happy to oblige them.  What these horribly deceived people fail to understand is that, in taking away our right to witness, they ultimately forfeit their own free speech rights and all rights, in fact.  They are cutting off their own nose to spite their face.

Make no doubt about it, our Christian witness is seen as a threat by this government.  And I am not just talking about what I have read about or seen on television.  We have been paid a visit by both the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Senate:

whousevisit

dhsvisit

We discuss politics here only as it concerns the Bible and biblical prophesy and we have neither promoted rebellion nor distributed anti-government propaganda.  Why, then, would the government be interested in anything we have to say?  Because we speak the truth, that’s why.  And many in our government are the enemies of truth.  We also encourage Christians to obey the Great Commission and witness.

So, prepare, Saints, to see more vitriol spewed against the servants of God as the world grows increasingly hostile to our message.  And watch as the government eventually moves to stop us from spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  But in the face of all this, be not troubled, but be encouraged and look up, for our redemption draweth nigh.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Grace and peace, Saints.

Today is my birthday, and I am now officially 53 years old.  I normally don’t make a big deal about my birthday, though I tend to make a big deal about everyone else’s.  That’s because I didn’t do anything to deserve another year on planet earth.  God, in his grace, has granted me another year.  So, I usually make it a point to be grateful to the Lord Jesus for extending my lease on this body for another year, and I try to make sure that my children know that this is what birthdays are really all about.

Today, however, is different from the previous 52 birthdays, because, by completing 53 years on this earth, I did something that my father didn’t.  My father died at age 52.  Since he smoked a pipe for most of my memory (in fact he was known as “Piper”),  I attributed my father’s lung cancer to tobacco.  I’ve noticed that during the last two or three years, I find myself contemplating often on the fact that my father died relatively young.  I suppose this can also be attributed to my being around the age that he died.  I’ve also noticed that the longer I live, the more I understand my father, especially since I have become a preacher–just like my father.

The life of a preacher isn’t radically different from that of a non-preacher.  They both wake up and they both go to bed.  They both work and they both play.  They both love and they both hate.  And they both sin.  The principle difference between the two, however, is that the preacher has been called to deliver a message to the world from a Man that the world hates.  If you can imagine what it would have been like to have been a Jewish defense lawyer for Adolph Hitler, then you could probably imagine what it is like to be a mouthpiece for Jesus Christ.  I’m not on very many people’s Christmas lists.

I often find myself wondering how life must have been for my father, the preacher.  He was an electrician by trade, and he owned and operated his own shop where he sold and repaired citizen band radios.  In the heyday of CB radios, popularized by films like “Smokey and the Bandit,” my father did very well.  He also happened to be one of the first Black businessmen on St. Louis’ South Side, at a time when very few, if any, non-whites lived or worked in that area.  (Now the area is almost exclusively non-white.)

My father was not only a preacher, but he was also an evangelist.  In fact, one half of his shop was dedicated to the business of CB radios, while the other half was dedicated to the business of saving souls.  It was in my father’s shop that I saw my very first gospel tract: one of the “Alberto” series of Chick comic tracts.  The “Alberto” series detail the testimony of ex- Jesuit priest Alberto Rivera, and exposes the Roman Catholic Jesuit Order and its mission to destroy the Christian Church.

In that St. Louis is a Roman Catholic city, I was brought up believing that Roman Catholicism was Christianity.  I never heard anyone preach or speak against the errors of Roman Catholicism.  I didn’t know that Roman Catholics worshipped the Virgin Mary.  I didn’t know that the Virgin Mary was an idol.  And I didn’t know that worshipping an idol was idolatry.  The South Side of St. Louis, at least at that time, was mostly Italian and Irish Roman Catholic, while the North side was mostly German Roman Catholic.  So, my father, the black Christian preacher-electrician, owned and operated a business in a Roman Catholic neighborhood wherein he also distributed Christian literature that revealed the true character of Roman Catholicism.  I wonder how that went over.

It is only now, that I find myself involved in essentially the same kind of ministry, that I realize that, even though I was a little heathen, I was probably influenced a great deal by that Gospel tract that I read in my father’s shop as a pre-teenage boy.  Because I know that Rome would not appreciate such “heresy,” and because I know that a great many people are influenced by the Roman Catholic church, I have begun to wonder if my father’s activities had anything to do with many things that have happened to me.

I wonder, for instance, if my father’s activities had anything to do with my eighth-grade teacher, Mrs. Anglin, who hated me so much that days after I became a patrol boy (a reward for being an honor student), she got me fired from that post for whistling in the stairwell.  And that was only the beginning.  Five years later, I would drop out of high school altogether.

I wonder, for instance, if my father’s activities had anything to do with the red sports car that ran me over just as I stepped off the bus at the intersection of Cote Brilliante and Goodfellow back in the Fall of 1980.  When I awoke, I found myself lying on my back on the asphalt surrounded by a crowd of people.  I sat up, and saw the sports car pulled over to the side of the road with its brake lights on.   Moments later, it sped off into the night.  People don’t usually wait around after a hit and run to see if the person lived or not.  So I have always wondered if it were really an accident.

I wonder, for instance, if my father’s activities had anything to do with someone rigging my harness with a “fatal hookup” minutes before I repelled from an Army helicopter.  After I exited the helicopter, instead of continuing down the rope, I stopped abruptly about fifteen feet below the helicopter and a considerable distance from the ground.  Suspended in mid-air, I looked directly at my gear, and the D-ring gate was broken open.  I remained composed and performed emergency action, motioning the pilot to land.  Ironically, we had only an hour before received instruction on how not to rig a fatal hookup, and it was one of those very instructors who had rigged my gear.  The looks on the faces of my fellow soldiers told me that the irony was lost on no one.  I found it quite strange that nobody questioned this incident and no action was taken.  I had forgotten all about it until a couple days ago.

I know that people have suffered much worse things than I, and probably much of what has happened to me would be considered trifling compared to what has happened to others.  But I have also come to understand that many incidents that we consider to be “coincidences” and “accidents” aren’t really coincidences or accidents at all: they are planned orchestrated events.  Many of our lives have been drastically and irreversibly altered by such “coincidences,” which I believe are designed to prevent us from realizing our destinies, or, to keep us from reaching age 53.

Then again, maybe I think too much.

Hey, it’s my birthday; and on one’s birthday, one is allowed to muse and pontificate endlessly on those musings.  More musings to come.  Hey, it’s my birthday!

The Still Man

P.S. Hey, it’s my birthday!

What Will Be The Number of the Beast?

The Mark of the Beast

Grace and peace to my fellow kings and priests, and greetings to the children of wrath.

Many of you know that we believe whole-heartedly that Pope Benedict XVI is the Antichrist, Pope Francis is the False Prophet, and the idol, known as the Virgin Mary, is the Abomination of Desolation.  We also believe that the Mark of the Beast will be the emblem of the Papacy.  What we have yet to determine, however, is what the Number of the Beast will be.

As you may know, we believe the Mark of the Beast and the Number of the Beast are not the same, though they have several things in common.  One thing that they have in common is that each will be one of three forms of commerce:

“[N]o man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Revelation 13:17).

Another thing that the Mark of the Beast and the Number of the Beast have in common is that both are related to his name.  Compare this excerpt from the above passage:

“[N]o man might buy or sell, save he that had…the number of his name.”

With this passage:

“[A]nd they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name” (Revelation 14:11).

Because the Mark of the Beast is the mark of the Antichrist’s name, we believe it will be  the so-called Keys of Saint Peter, as these gold and silver keys are featured on the seal of the Papacy and on Benedict XVI’s coat of arms:

Vatican Coat of Arms

Pope Benedict Coat of Arms

It is important at this point to dispel the myth that the number of the Beast is 666.  Scripture does not tell us that the Antichrist’s number is 666, but that his number is six hundred sixty six:

“Here is wisdom, let he that hath understanding count the number of the Beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:18. KJV, of course!).

Why has much of the world, including most of the Body of Christ, been deceived into believing that the number of the Beast is 666?  Why, because of the satanic New International Version of the Bible (NIV), of course:

“This calls for wisdom.  If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number.  His number is 666″ (NIV).

Crucial to a proper understanding of the number of the Beast is that Scripture says that we must “count” the number, and, in so doing, the number yields six hundred sixty six.  Oxford Dictionary of English defines the word count as “to determine the total number of,” while Strong’s C0ncordance says that count, in Revelation 13:18, is a Greek word that means “to use pebbles in enumeration, i.e. calculate.”  Oxford further defines counting as “to recite numbers in ascending order.”  Collectively, these definitions seem to imply addition.

If we apply this to the number of the Beast, it would seem to suggest that this number must be of a nature that, when counted in ascending or descending order, it will yield six hundred sixty six.  Consider also that this is no arbitrary number, as it is associated with the Antichrist’s name.  This would mean that the number of the Antichrist is associated with his title.

So, imagine my surprise when I happened upon the following on page 245 of the math textbook, Thinking Mathematically, Fifth Edition, by Robert Blitzer:

666mathbook

Notice that the author points out lastly that all the Roman numerals from 500 to 1 in descending order form the number, 666.  The last three numbers, X, V, I, collectively form the Roman number XVI or sixteen.  Is it merely a coincidence that Joseph Ratzinger, as the sovereign head of Vatican City, is also a Roman, and XVI just happens to be a part of his pontifical title, Benedict XVI?  Is it also merely a coincidence that the Roman numerals DCLXVI also add up to six hundred sixty six?

But there is something else very important about the number of the Beast that we must consider.  Notice that in Revelation 13:18 (KJV), “Six hundred threescore and six” is capitalized.  Besides when referring to God or an attribute of God, the Bible uses capitalization in proper names and in quotations.

“Six hundred threescore and six” is not a proper name, but a number.  That it is capitalized, therefore, means it is a quotation.  The Bible not only quotes itself, but other books as well.  The Bible even quotes popular sayings:

“Wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod, the mighty hunter before the Lord” (Genesis 10:9).

While it is possible “Six hundred threescore and six” may have been taken from an extra-biblical source, there are actually two other places in the Bible where this number can be found: 1 Kings 10:14 and 2 Chronicles 9:13.  Interestingly, both verses reference the same person and the same event:

“Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold” (1 Kings 10:14).

“Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold” (2 Chronicles 9:13).

It is very interesting that both references to this number concern the same man, King Solomon, the son of King David: interesting, because King Solomon turned away from God and worshipped a goddess:

“For Solomon went after Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Zidonians” (1 Kings 11:5).

When Solomon began to worship the goddess, all Israel did likewise (1 Kings 11:33).  Ashtoreth was another name for Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod and the first queen of ancient Babylon.  Semiramis went by many other names.  In the Bible, she is called the Virgin and the Lady (Isaiah 47:1-5).  Amos 5:26 and Acts 7:43 tell us that the apostate Jews worshipped this goddess with a star.  And they still do.

Pope Benedict XVI and the Roman Catholic church worship Semiramis.  Only they don’t call her Ashtoreth.  They call her Mary, the Goddess of the Sea.  And, as in the Bible, Roman Catholics call Mary The Virgin and The Lady.  Roman Catholics, as did Solomon and the apostate Jews, symbolize this goddess with stars.  Would you like to know more?

So, is the number of the Beast, besides being the number of his name, also intended to identify the Antichrist as a goddess worshipper and an apostate Jew of the lineage of King Solomon?  This is entirely possible, as King Solomon “loved many strange women.”  This is an important question, especially when you consider that the Antichrist will claim to be from the House of David.

popemitresixstar

He will also claim to be of the lineage of Jesus Christ.  He would have to, for the Jews to allow him to take the throne of David, where he will “show himself to be God.”  And they will do this very thing.

Saints, I’m just giving you food for thought.  And think is exactly what we must do.    Forget about 666.  The Devil is trying to lead us down the rabbit hole of Confusion.  (I capitalized that for a reason).

I’m already convinced that Benedict XVI is the Antichrist, and I give plenty of biblical evidence to support this belief.  So, I don’t need anymore convincing.  However, there are others who do: many of them Roman Catholics.

Help me out, Saints.  Together, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can unravel this Mystery.  Help me figure out what significance, if any, the Roman numerals DCLXVI have with Benedict XVI.  If there is no significance, perhaps what we now now about the number of the Beast is all Jesus wanted us to know.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Deceitful Workers: Carlos Santana

Grace and peace to a peculiar people, and greetings to the rest of the world.

As Christians, we know that Roman Catholicism is not Christianity, but is, in fact, the ancient, pagan, Babylonian worship of the goddess, Semiramis, and her husband, Nimrod.  In fact, the Bible calls the Roman Catholic church “Mystery Babylon, the mother of all harlots and abominations of the earth.”  This means it is the fount from which all idolatrous religions flow.  It is for this reason that Roman Catholics are generally very comfortable in the company of others not of their religion, and quite often an individual raised a Roman Catholic will practice another religion, yet still claim to be a Roman Catholic.

For example, I was once involved with a Roman Catholic who also practiced Buddhism.  In fact, she had a small, wooden Buddhist shrine in her closet similar to the one Angela Basset used when she played Tina Turner in the movie loosely based on her life.  Yet, this woman claimed to be a Roman Catholic, and even had small figurines of saints in her house.  She had no problem reconciling Buddhism with her Roman Catholic faith.  There is a reason for this: Roman Catholicism and Buddhism both have the same origin: Babylon.

I was reminded of that fact today when, as I was cleaning up my office, I came across a magazine promoting the annual Tollwood music festival held each year here in Munich.  This year, several well-known artists were slated to perform including George Benson; ZZ Top; Crosby, Stills, and Nash; and Carlos Santana.  I was going to throw the magazine away, but decided to flip through the pages first.  As I was doing so, I happened upon the following spread of Mr. Santana:

csantana

You may notice he is wearing what appears to be a Roman Catholic saint medal around his neck.  This is nothing unusual, as many Roman Catholics wear a medal of their favorite patron saint around their necks.  It is idolatry, but it is common.  But look closely at the symbol on Santana’s guitar neck just visible below his left index finger.  Do you recognize it?  I did.  It is the symbol below:

100px-Om

This symbol is known both as Brahma, the chief deity in the Hindu pantheon, and as Om or Ohm.  It represents the Hindu Trinity.  In reality, Ohm is a demon.

Can Carlos Santana, a Roman Catholic, also be into Hinduism?  Well, his use of this symbol would seem to suggest this.  The video below also presents a strong argument that Carlos Santana is into spiritism and even devil worship:

Incredibly, Santana says that “the energy of the angels and the devils is the same energy. It’s how you use it.”  What an interesting statement for a Roman Catholic to make!  Did you know that this was the same message of the movie Star Wars?  Notice that both the “good” Jedi Knights and the “evil” Darth Vader used the force, but whereas the former used it for “good,” the latter used it for “evil.”  What Santana is really saying is that there is no such thing as good and evil, or moral and immoral.  It is your intentions that makes the difference.  An action is only wrong if you meant to do wrong.  If you meant to do “good,” then no matter what you did, you were right because you thought you were doing right.

This teaching can be found in a New Age book (that just happens to promote Hinduism) called Secret Societies and Their Power in the Twentieth Century.  Concerning good and evil, the author says this:

“The terms good or bad, valuable or worthless are not justified and at best are expressions of our own subjectivity” [p. 340].

This is the core teaching of Values Clarification, a Humanist doctrine.  It is actually Satanism.  Values Clarification teaches that whatever you believe to be right is right, so long as you believe it to be right, and you came to that realization without any outside help from anyone else, especially parents or the clergy.  You can read more about it here.

In saying that the energy of the devils and angels is the same, Santana is saying that the angels and devils are themselves the same.  The Bible says that angels are sinless, and, therefore, good, while the devils are sinful, and, therefore, evil.  Therefore, if angels and devils are the same, then there is no good and evil.  If there is no good and evil, then there is no God and there is no Devil, because God and the Devil are the personifications of good and evil.  If there is no God and no Devil, then, who makes the rules?  We do.  And that is what Santana is really saying: that we are gods.  Interestingly, according to this video, John McLaughlin, with whom Santana collaborated, also said that his goal was to “make everyone aware of his own divinity.”

Why is this important?  It is important because Santana says that the demons that gave him his message told him that it is intended for high school and college children.  And in that he is enjoying huge commercial success, it’s a good bet that his message has been well-received.  But get this: while Carlos Santana embraces Humanism, spiritism, Eastern Mysticism, and even devil worship, and promotes this poison to our children, he is still very much a Roman Catholic.  He makes that crystal clear by wearing that Roman Catholic saint medal around his neck.  That means his actions are endorsed by the Roman Catholic church.  Don’t you doubt that for one minute.

Now, if Roman Catholicism is Christianity, why do Roman Catholics, like Carlos Santana, embrace pagan religions like Buddhism and Hinduism, which worship idols?  The Bible says,

“What say I then?  that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

“But I say that the things that the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be the partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils” (1 Corinthians 10:19-21).

The message is clear: idolatry is devil worship.  Why, then, do Roman Catholics, like Carlos Santana, embrace Hinduism?  Simple: because Roman Catholicism, like Hinduism, is idolatry.  They get along like peas and carrots.

Carlos Santana is on a mission, which he makes very plain: “To validate angels and devils with the same reverence.”  Incidentally, it is believed that Santana also practices Santeria, which is a mixture of Roman Catholicism and Yoruba, an African religion.  In fact, it is said that Santana has “incorporated Orisha themes and rhythms into several songs, including ‘Hannibal,’ which includes a Yoruba chant to Shango.”  Orishas are demons, and Shango is an Orisha.  Ironically, the Roman Catholic with whom I was involved, and who was a practicing Buddhist, also practiced Santeria.

Now, if Roman Catholicism is Christianity, and Carlos Santana is a Roman Catholic, shouldn’t there be a conflict of interest?  You bet there should be.  The fact that there isn’t, however, should be a red flag for you.  It certainly was for me.

Carlos Santana is leading millions of impressionable young people down the primrose path to perdition.  If you or your children are a fan of Carlos Santana, you now know what he really believes and who he really works for.  You now have a decision to make.

If you are a Roman Catholic, you should know that you are not pleasing the Lord Jesus by worshipping the idol known as Mary.  When you meet him at the Great White Throne Judgment–and you will–you will hear Him say,

“Depart from me ye wicked into everlasting fire!”

And no one, not even Mary, will be able to save you.

Repent of your idolatry, while there is still time.  Would you like to know more?  Click here.  I pray you will make the right decision.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

New Columbia and the Roman Catholic Takeover of America

Roman Catholic "Patriotic Flag"

Roman Catholic “Patriotic Flag”

Grace and peace, Saints.

If you’ve read our series, The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, then you are familiar with the book, Ravening Wolves, which we quote in that series.  In the book, author and Christian evangelist, Monica Ferrell, gives us the blueprint for the Roman Catholic takeover of a nation.  As you may recall, this takeover happens in three phases:  Phase One is a general call to prayer wherein Roman Catholics consecrate a particular country to their Virgin Mary.  In Phase Two, The Roman Catholic church actually dedicates the country to Mary.  Finally, in Phase Three, the Roman Catholics wage a “holy warfare” to possess the country that they have claimed.

Phase Three is being implemented in the United States of America, as a holy warfare is in progress and nearing fruition.  The Roman Catholic church has already claimed America for its own, and is about to possess it outright.  This will become evident very soon.

Phase Three happens in four steps.  The first step is for an independent Roman Catholic state to be declared.  This happened in Yugoslavia during WWII, when the Independent State of Croatia was formed.  I originally theorized that one of America’s independent cities: Carson City, NV; St. Louis, MO; or Baltimore, MD could declare itself an independent state, but I was careful to point out that Washington, D.C., the District of Columbia, is also an independent city.  Given that D.C. is already the seat of the national government, which displayed its Roman Catholic flavor in no uncertain terms during the re-inaugurations of President Obama and Vice President Biden, the District of Columbia could quite possibly become the Independent State of Columbia.

This possibility became a probability when, while perusing proposed bills at the Government Printing Office website, I happened upon H.R. 292, the “New Columbia Admission Act”:

hr292

Click here for the full text of the bill.

New Columbia is the proposed name for what is presently known as Washington, D.C., and will encompass essentially the same area.  The District of Columbia statehood movement has been rolling along for quite some time.  But, with this bill, it is almost certain to become a reality.  So certain, in fact, that the U.S. Army Institute of Heraldry has already designed a proposed national flag featuring 51 stars:

800px-new_columb_51_stars

According to Ferrell, Step Three of Phase Three, is for the government of the newly formed Roman Catholic state to issue a notice that only Roman Catholics may serve in government.  With the formation of New Columbia, the stage will be set for this to happen in America.  For the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, sits in Washington, D.C.

basilicaimmconcept1

At the basilica’s dedication, a prayer was read by a Roman Catholic bishop dedicating the United States to the Virgin Mary.

In a pictorial calendar of Washington, D.C. which I got from the visitor’s center over eleven years ago, there was a photo of the Basilica.  The caption underneath the photo read, “A church for national purposes.”  That the basilica is called the “National Shrine” indicates that it is a national church.  And, in that it is a Roman Catholic church that has been dedicated to a Roman Catholic idol, it is declaring America as a Roman Catholic country.  In fact, “Our Lady of America,” is a movement to place the Virgin Mary, under the title of “Our Lady of America,” in that basilica.  When accomplished, this act will signal the completion of the Roman Catholic takeover of America.

ourladyofamerica8x10-300

I’d be very interested to know how close “Our Lady of America” is to the National Shrine.  At one point, it was supposedly located in a church right next to the White House.

In a country that boasts separation of church and state, the Roman Catholic church has been quietly, subtly, but oh so steadily portraying itself as the spiritual head of the United States.  And at no time was that made clearer than at the inauguration of Vice President Joe Biden, a Roman Catholic, whose benediction was administered by a Roman Catholic priest, while his oath of office was administered by Roman Catholic Supreme Court Associate Judge Sonya Sotomayor.

Saints, we are very close indeed.

Temptation and the Man of God – Photography

“Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23)

[WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS NUDITY, AND IS PROVIDED SOLELY FOR THE EDIFICATION OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.  I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THIS MATERIAL, BUT IT IS NECESSARY, TO SHOW HOW CUNNINGLY SUBTLE SATAN WORKS.]

Grace and peace, Saints.

Last week I told you about how Satan uses many methods to tempt the man of God into sin, and I gave you a personal testimony to the same involving a sexually suggestive billboard.  If you are not on your toes, you will think these incidents to be mere coincidences, but if you are spiritually aware, then you know that in the realm of spiritual warfare, nothing is a coincidence.

I’ll give you another example.  About a month or so ago, my son and I took a walk to a park near our home.  On the way to the park, we passed a local photo studio that my family has used on occasion.  I was amazed at what I saw on the storefront window.  Click here and here.

We all know that the Europeans are supposed to be “sexually liberated” and all that.  But the last time I heard, a totally naked woman’s behind was still considered pornography–even here in Germany.  But maybe I’m just behind the power curve on this one.

Now let me ask you a question: Why would a photo studio put something like this on their storefront window?  It used to be that photographers would display modest samples of their work on their storefront windows, and If they offered something a little more fringe or risque, they would display those on the inside of the studio towards the back, or present them upon request.  Most photographers will do a nude photo shoot, if requested, but, because they also cater to families, and most families have children, they won’t display this sort of work on their storefront window out of common decency.  But, as you can see here, decency isn’t common at all anymore.

Satan is on a mission, and nothing is sacred–especially your child’s innocence.

Now, I pass this photo studio on average twice a month.  And I’m certain that this photo was not there the last time I looked.  Because nothing in my life is a coincidence, I believe this to be totally intentional.

Don’t misunderstand me folks.  It’s not all about me.  Not everyone walking around cares who I am or what I believe.  But Satan does care.  And if Satan cares, then so do his people.  My Bible says that “the whole world lieth in wickedness.”  I’ve learned through experience not to take anything for granted.  And neither should you: not even a storefront window.

Parents, talk to your children about pornography.  Mystery Babylon has plans for every child to have seen every conceivable sex act by the time he is thirteen years old.  They are working feverishly to ensure that pornography becomes the norm.  And they have the time, the resources, and the sufficient moral depravity to make it happen.  One day, a fully clothed woman will look as out of place as a man standing on the bus stop with an astronaut’s suit on.  And a naked woman will be able to walk down the street and not even cause a stir.  Proof that this is Satan’s end game is the fact that the man, in the photo on the other side of the display window, at least has his pants on.

fotostudioporn3 So, talk to your children about pornography.  Let them know that it is wrong, and let them know that watching and enjoying pornography–whether it be a pornographic magazine, an x-rated movie, or a photography studio window–is an abomination in God’s sight.  Pornography will earn you a generational curse.  God is serious about this one, Saints.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Musings: What Is A Hero?

“Hero:  n.  a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage,  outstanding achievements, or noble qualities: a war hero” (Oxford Dictionary of English).

Grace unto you, Saints, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I don’t know about you, but it always makes me smile when I read or think about the above salutation that Paul most always used in his epistles.  We have a Father and He just happens to be God, and we have a Lord, and His name is Jesus Christ.  When you reflect on what that really means–I mean, on what that really means–you can’t help but smile.  We are so, so blessed!  But, I digress…

You know, I was surfing YouTube a couple of days ago, and I found an interview between Pierce Morgan and the very bizarre (but deceptively intelligent and disarmingly articulate) Russell Brandt.  Now, I’m no fan of either of these people.  But when they talk, you had better listen, because their views represent the views of those who are making a bid for the world.

Well, Brandt is pontificating on gun control (which he is for), when he makes a very revealing statement.  Brandt say,

“That’s the definition of a hero, one who sacrifices himself for others.”

I had to rewind the interview to make sure I heard correctly–and I had.  I thought, “This guy just told the absolute truth.  He doesn’t know what he said, but he told the absolute truth.”

You see, the media classifies anyone who survives any ordeal as a hero:  13 miners, trapped a mile underground for days, are rescued, and are hailed as heroes.  A person is brutally attacked and lives to tell about it, and is declared a hero.  An abuse survivor writes a book detailing the ordeal and is declared a hero.  A cancer survivor writes a book about dealing with the daily challenges of living with the disease, and is declared a hero.

Don’t get me wrong.  I sincerely and greatly admire anyone who has been through any life-changing experience and emerged from it alive and wiser for the experience.  But just going through something terrible, hazardous, and/or tragic does not make you a hero: it makes you a survivor.  It is the element of sacrificing one’s life for another that makes one a hero.

Two thousand years ago, a Man gave His life not just for one person, but for the entire world.  Jesus, by Brandt’s definition, is a Hero.  In fact, He is the very epitome of heroism.  Yet, today He is the single most hated Man in the history of the world.

This is not strange.  Ask any good cop, fireman, doctor, paramedic, soldier, or anyone else who risks his life daily for people who, in most cases, they don’t even know, and you will quickly discover that they are some of the most under-appreciated people on the planet.  We would rather worship athletes and entertainers than appreciate those without whom our lives would be radically different.  Even more tragic is that we choose to forget Him without Whom our very souls would be consigned to the flames of Hell.  How tragic!

Jesus gave His life for our sinful hides.  The very least we can do is say, “Thank You.”

Temptation and the Man of God – Billboards

Grace and peace, believers.

The Bible says that as Christians we should guard our hearts with all diligence.  That means that we should be careful what we let come in through the senses (“the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes”), because it is through the senses that Satan tempts us.

I don’t have to tell you that sex is probably Satan’s number one method of destroying a Christian’s testimony.  So Satan is going to use this weapon against the man of God.  This is especially true if you are on the front lines in this spiritual warfare.  According to Jack Chick, former Jesuit priest turned Christian evangelist, Alberto Rivera, said that a favorite technique of Rome to destroy a Christian preacher is to try and seduce him through a female Roman Catholic devotee.  The goal is for the girl to get the preacher to fall into an immoral and compromising relationship with the girl and then threaten to expose him unless he softens his stance on the Roman Catholic religion, or otherwise do as he is told.

Satan has tried this on a number of occasions with me, but I have always had my guard up, wary of what was going on.  He has tried to get me to become a pedophile, by parading before me young teenage girls wearing incredibly little clothing.  One night, when I was riding my bike through the park on the way home from school, I just happened to run into an attractive woman jogging.  Mind you, it was around nine o’clock at night in St. Louis, and this woman is running through the park BY HERSELF.  I started talking to her and it wasn’t fifteen minutes when she alluded that she was available for a sexual liaison.  I pretended not to hear what she was saying and switched the conversation immediately to spiritual matters.  Although she was at first not interested, she started to confide in me that she was having spiritual problems.  About two weeks later, I led this woman to Christ.  [WHEW!]

Satan has even tried to entice me with homosexuality.  Once I was getting into my car after coming out of the movie theatre, when a young, slightly effeminate teenage boy walks up to me and asks me if I could give him a ride to the metro station.  I was reluctant at first, because these are dangerous times.  But I suddenly remembered when I was a young teenager bumming rides from people when I would go to parties way on the other side of town and would miss the last bus home.  So, I decided to give the boy a ride.  While we talked, however, I noted that he showed great interest in a particular subject that also interests me, but which is far too old-fashioned for a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old boy in the twenty-first century.

My antenna immediately went up.  I knew the boy had been given information about my interests that he could use to bring my guard down.  So I waited for the punchline.  We arrived shortly at the metro station, and I stopped in front and waited for him to open the door and get out.  But instead of getting out, he pointed out a place in the parking lot where I could park.  This confirmed my suspicions about him.  He was trying to set me up.  In no uncertain terms, I told this boy to get out of my car, as the only thing I agreed to do was give him a ride.

Satan constantly tries to tempt me with sex.  I often say I would love to see a bird’s eye view of anyplace I happen to be standing, because it’s a safe bet that the area would have more scantily-clad women and girls per capita than any other part of town.  But Satan doesn’t just try to tempt me with live women.  He also tries to tempt me through the media.  The following is a photo of a billboard across the street from where I live.  This is the view as I walk onto the street from my apartment building:

sexybillbrd1

This is a closer view:

sexybillbrd2

To show you that this is no coincidence, this is my apartment from the billboard’s point of view (that’s my boy standing beside the path):

sexybillbrd3

As you can see, that billboard seems to be looking right at me.  Now, if you know anything about advertising, then you know that signs placed on a main thoroughfare are always directed towards the flow of traffic.   In that this sign is located about ten meters from an intersection, it would have made more sense to orient this ad in that direction.  But, take a look at the view one gets coming onto the street:sexybillbrd5

Right.  You aim a pretty girl at my apartment, but a pope at everyone else?  Uh-huh.  See how this works?

Sex sells.  So, to aim an ad like this in the direction of my apartment, where probably over 60 percent of the tenants are over forty, is a huge waste of time and money.  Unless, of course, there is another reason the ad was placed there.

Now, if you have read the part of my testimony outlined in Chronology of Joy and God is in Control, then you know that I am under surveillance 24 hours a day.  You are too, the only difference is they let me know it.  Well, you will note that I took this photo on July 1st, and you can rest assured that everyone on my street knew it.  Well, look at what happened a few days later:

sexybillbrd8

sexybillbrd9

“But,” you say, “they might have just been changing the sign.”  Well notice that the rest of the pole has since been covered with a new ad, but the place where the sexy ad was is now blank.  And, in case you think anything has changed, I submit the following for your examination:

sexybillbrd7

As you can see, I took this photo this morning, and nothing has changed.

Now it could be that all this is merely a coincidence and has no meaning.  But if you were to walk one day in my shoes, you would quickly realize that where I’m concerned, there are no coincidences.

This object lesson on spiritual warfare has been brought to you by Proverbs 4:23:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.”

Guard your hearts, Saints.  Satan is on a mission.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Shocking Testimony of Sister Charlotte

Grace and peace, Saints.

I present for your edification the very disturbing testimony of Sister Charlotte (a pseudonym), a former Roman Catholic nun.  Sister Charlotta testified to having been a nun in a cloistered convent for 22 years, and to having witnessed unspeakable brutality and psychological, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse heaped upon the young girls there by senior nuns and priests in the convent where she served.

Some have refuted this testimony as an attempt to defame the Roman Catholic church, while others say that based on their own experiences, it is an accurate depiction of the absolute depravity of the Romish religions system.

I cannot authenticate this testimony, but it mirrors the testimonies of other former Roman Catholics, such as Monica Ferrell in Ravening Wolves, and in her testimony From Rome to Christ, former Roman Catholic priest Charles Chiniquy, in his book Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, and former Jesuit priest, Alberto Rivera, as told in the Alberto series of comic tracts from Chick Publications.  Additionally, as a Christian evangelist living in Munich, Germany (not far from where Pope Benedict XVI was a cardinal), I will say that I believe Sister Charlotte’s testimony is real.

As you listen, you will understand why a true Roman Catholic is a servant of the Roman Catholic church first, and your friend, relative, sister of brother, mother or father, husband, or wife, or American citizen second.  According to former Roman Catholics, if there is ever a conflict between what is morally right and what a Roman Catholic’s superiors say, the Roman Catholic’s superiors will always take precedence.  This is a frightening revelation.

Please compare this testimony with what you know and understand about the Roman Catholic church and what the Spirit speaks to your spirit.  Weigh them in the balance of your heart and conscience.  And try to imagine what it must be like for the young girl trapped in that system of utter darkness.  For that young girl could very easily be your sister or daughter.

“I Will Greatly Multiply Thy Sorrows”

depressedwoman

Grace and peace saints.

For years, the mental health field has sought to understand why women suffer more from psychological disorders like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder than men.  An article entitled, “Why do Women Get Depressed More Than Men?” tackles this subject. (Click here to read the article.)  The article quotes a book entitled A Deeper Shade of Blue: A Woman’s Guide to Recognizing and Treating Depression in Her Childbearing Years, wherein the author offers these particulars about depression in women:

“Depression is about twice as common in women as in men, with about 1 in 4 women suffering from depression at some point during her lifetime.

“Depression may strike at any time, but women appear to be particularly vulnerable during their childbearing years. Women are at highest risk for depression during pregnancy and shortly after delivery.

“At no other point are women more vulnerable to depression than during their childbearing years.  How can we explain this susceptibility to depression?” [Boldface mine.]

According to the author, experts are not sure why women between the ages of 18 and 30 experience a disproportionately high incidence of depression and anxiety than men, but they postulate that it might have something to do with hormonal changes in a woman’s reproductive system during this time.  The theory fails, however, to explain why women continue to have problems with depression long after their childbearing years.

As Christians, we must remember that everything in the physical world has a spiritual origin.  This holds especially true of psychological disorders.  If, therefore, we cannot explain something medically, it is because the explanation is not medical, but spiritual.

Unfortunately, the majority of the medical and scientific community are not God-fearing people.  So rather than look to the Bible, they instead say, “We don’t know,” or propose various theories, which, though ineffective, often become the de facto explanations.  This is tragic, for everything we ever wanted to know is in the Bible, if we would only take the time to read it.  So if there is no adequate explanation for why women suffer more from depression than do men, we need only look to the Bible, where God has provided the answer for us in plain language.

You may be surprised to learn that the reason women suffer disproportionately from depression than do men–especially during their childbearing years–can be found in the Garden of Eden.  You heard me right: the Garden of Eden.

Now, I know that some women will resist this teaching, because Satan does not want women to have this information.  He knows that if you grasp what the Bible has to say about mental illness in women you are going to learn how you can be set free from depression and anxiety.  He knows that you will no longer have to go to anger management classes.  He knows that you will no longer have to waste your hard-earned cash on psychotherapists or medication.  And he knows that with this information, your self-esteem will be restored, along with your peace of mind.  He knows you will be set free.

Satan knows that the Bible is so clear on the matter of mental illness in women that any thinking woman—Christian or not—will be able to grasp and appreciate what the Bible has to say.  And he doesn’t want that.  So he’s going to tempt you to get angry, defensive, and downright mad.  He’s going to try to close your mind to this teaching.

We are not going to let him get away with that.  Let us therefore go to the Lord Jesus in prayer for help in opening our minds, our ears, and our hearts to what His Word says about depression in women.  Let us pray:

“Dear Lord Jesus, may your blessed Holy Spirit open my mind, my ears, and my heart to this teaching on depression.  Please prevent Satan from hindering me in any way.   I ask this in your name.  Amen.”

Before we continue, I want to point out that the fact that a woman is more likely to suffer from depression and other mental illnesses during her childbearing years is a very important clue to understanding the disparity in mental illness between men and women. So, with this in mind, let us journey back in time about six thousand years or so, to the Garden of Eden.  For it is there that we shall discover the key to unlocking the mystery of women and depression.

Now we know that it was in the Garden of Eden that the first sin occurred.  And it is commonly believed and taught that it was Eve’s disobedience that brought sin into the world.  But Scripture clearly teaches that it was Adam’s sin that cursed us:

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

You may ask why it was that the world was cursed because of Adam, when it was Eve who first ate the fruit.  Well, it was because God had given Adam dominion over the earth and everything in it.  For before Eve was even created, God had given Adam authority over the earth:

“And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof…

“But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him” (Genesis 2:19-20).

Adam was given dominion over the earth, evidenced by God letting him name the animals.  So it would be Adam’s actions that would bless or curse the earth, not Eve’s.

What does Adam’s sin have to do with the higher incidence of depression and mental illness in women?  A lot more than you may think.  Now let us look at what God said to Adam after he ate the fruit:

“And unto Adam [God] said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake” (Genesis 3:17).

Again, it is commonly believed that God cursed the earth because of Eve.  But as we can see, God cursed the earth because of Adam.  But it wasn’t merely because Adam ate the fruit that God cursed the earth.  Adam actually did two things that brought sin into the world, not just one.  And the first of those two things directly concerns our discussion.  Let us examine God’s words carefully:

God said,  “Because thou (Adam):

1.  “hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and

2.  “ hast eaten of the tree…

“Cursed is the ground for thy sake.”

Did you see that?  God not only cursed the earth because Adam ate the forbidden fruit, but because he “hearkened to the voice of [his] wife.”  God punished Adam for listening to Eve!

Now to understand how serious this was to God, you must understand that God had essentially made Adam the king of the world.  Adam was boss.  We have already seen that God let Adam name all the animals.  In that he who names a thing owns a thing, God allowing Adam to name the animals proves that they belonged to Adam.  But let us now see further evidence of Adam’s ownership of the world:

“And Adam said (about Eve), This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” (Genesis 2:23).

“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20).

Did you see that?  Adam not only named the animals, but Adam named his wife also.  And not only did Adam name his wife, but he also named her kind: Woman.  Adam invented gender!

Clearly, Adam was not only the master of the earth, but he was also the head of his family.

Because Eve spoke with Satan, instead of Adam, she had basically made herself the spokesperson for the family.  This was not a good thing, because Eve was taken from Adam, not the other way around.  Adam, then, was the head–and, thus, the spokesperson–for the family, and not Eve.  When Eve spoke with Satan, she usurped Adam’s authority.  She made herself the boss.  And the decision she made while in that position had tragic results for mankind.

Now, to understand what this has to do with depression in women, we have to look at what God said to Eve after her sin; for the key to the equation lies therein.  God said to Eve:

“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16).

God cursed Eve.  And the curse was twofold.  God said:

“I will greatly multiply…

  1. “thy sorrow and
  2. “thy conception…”

This passage is generally understood to mean that God cursed Eve by making childbirth painful, which is true.  But there is much more that is meant here.  Notice that the word “sorrow” is mentioned twice in Genesis 3:16.  God invented language, so He knows about synonyms, homonyms, and antonyms.  God knows there is more than one way to say a thing.  So when He uses a word twice, it is not because He has run out of vocabulary.  It is because He wants us to pay attention.  God wants us to consider the word sorrow.

When we consider the word sorrow, we immediately understand that though it is used twice, it is used in two different contexts.  The first time it is mentioned it is part of a clause wherein the verb “multiply” modifies both the word sorrow and the word conception, and both words are separated by the coordinating conjunction and.  The sentence literally can be read:

“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow, AND I will greatly multiply thy conception.”

Because the word sorrow here is mentioned together with the word conception, it is generally understood that both have to do with childbirth.  But they don’t.  The first instance of the word sorrow has to do with worry, while the second instance has to do with childbirth.  To prove this, let us go to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.  The first instance of the world sorrow (“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow“) is the Hebrew word itstsabown (Strong’s #6093), which means “worrisomeness” or trouble.

The second instance of the word sorrow (“In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children”) is the Hebrew word etseb (Strong’s #6089), which means “(painful) toil” or “a pang” (as in birth pangs).  In other words, labor.  It is the second instance, therefore, of the word sorrow that has to do with childbirth.  The first instance literally has to do with worry, or, as it is commonly called today, depression.

We may therefore reword the passage to read,

“I will greatly increase your worries and your pain during childbearing.”

God is literally saying that He will both make life worrisome and childbirth difficult for women.  In the second part of the verse, God reveals the exact way He will do this:

“In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16).

God’s curse on Eve and all women will have three results:

  1. “In sorrow [women] shalt bring forth children.”
  2. “[A woman’s] desire shall be to [her] husband.”
  3. “[Her husband] shall rule over [her].”

You will notice that God presents the effects of the curse in reverse order to the way He presents the curse; for whereas the curse addressed a woman’s worries first, then childbirth, now God first emphasizes childbirth, then a woman’s worries.  This is intentional: He is saving the most important for last.

Let us examine these individually.

1.  “In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children.”

Recall that the Hebrew word for sorrow in this context means “painful toil.”  Toil means work, and it is for this reason that the pain a woman experiences during childbirth is known as labor.  Women were literally cursed with painful childbirth.

But if one considers the higher incidence of depression during a woman’s childbearing years, one can also see that the word sorrow also takes on the additional meaning of worry. This is why women of childbearing age experience a higher incidence of depression and anxiety characterized by excessive changes in mood and temperament.  It is literally due to the curse of worry that God placed on Eve.

Moreover, as God’s curse on Eve was a generational curse (because the blood had not yet been paid by Jesus on the cross), then this curse has been passed down to all women, in the same way Adam’s sin has been passed down to all mankind.  Proof of this is the fact that in the same way Eve was cursed with a painful delivery, so are all women cursed with a painful delivery right up to this very day.  This is no trivial thing, as hundreds of thousands of women die in childbirth every year.

Points two and three are important because they are the specific penalty for Eve having usurped the authority of her husband, which was her primary sin:

2. “Thy desire shall be to thy husband.”

Eve’s greatest concern would be to please her husband.  In other words, from that moment on, Eve would be preoccupied with how she could please Adam.  God did this to Eve, because it was her preoccupation with a talking snake that got her in trouble in the first place.  Eve was curious.  Had she not paid any attention to Satan, disguised as a harmless snake, she would never have been tempted to sin.  So, God cursed Eve with a preoccupation with pleasing Adam, to keep her out of trouble.

As this curse is passed down to all women, married women today have been cursed with a preoccupation with pleasing their husbands.  As the curse concerns all women, not just married women, then a single woman’s preoccupation will be with her man–her boyfriend.  Moreover, in that not all women have a man, but are still cursed, then the average woman’s preoccupation will be with finding a man (and keeping a man), getting married (and staying married), and having children.

This is where the worry comes in.  It is no secret that many, if not most women are worried that they may not find a husband.  In fact, many women panic if they are not married by the time they are thirty years old.  Also, at around this age, women become concerned with their “biological clocks”: the fear that they are reaching the age when they can no longer bear children.  For many women who reach this point, finding a husband and bearing children can become an obsession.  Just watch how the maids of honor at a wedding literally fight over the bouquet when the bride tosses it in the air, and you’ll understand what I mean.

For many women, the search for a suitable mate becomes almost a full-time job.  This can, and does, become a major source of stress in a woman’s life.  Women who have passed childbearing age and haven’t yet gotten married often become very depressed.  And for many women who successfully marry, but are too old to bear children, this can become a source of depression, from which they may never fully recuperate.  Now given that this in fact happens, can there be any doubt in the mind of any honest person that this is a curse?

We continue with curse three:

3. “[Thy husband] shall rule over thee.”

Did you ever wonder why women generally have such a difficult time in life?  Did you ever wonder why so many women time and again, find themselves in relationships with dominating men?  It’s a curse!

To understand why God cursed Eve in this way, it is important to understand the dynamics of Adam and Eve’s relationship.  Adam was the boss, yet he didn’t Lord it over his wife.  Adam wasn’t controlling.  If he had been, then Eve would never have had an opportunity to be tempted by Satan.  Adam wouldn’t have given her enough breathing room!

But Adam wasn’t domineering, as Scripture clearly teaches that Adam and Eve were together when she was tempted by Satan, though it doesn’t say this in so many words. Adam gave Eve the freedom to follow her own will–with tragic results.  Now note that when God confronted Adam about his sin, Adam didn’t heap blame upon his wife.  When God asked him why he ate the forbidden fruit, Adam simply said:

“The woman…gave me of the tree, and I did eat” (Genesis 3:12).

Adam told the truth.  That was his nature.  Adam wasn’t accusatory, judgmental, or self-righteous.  Like Moses, Adam was “meek above all men” (Numbers 12:3).  Eve took advantage of Adam’s meekness and usurped his authority.  God, therefore, cursed all women by making them subject to men.  God made this a man’s world.

To fully appreciate this, you must first understand that it was not God’s original intention to make women subject to men.  Scripture is clear that though God put Adam at the head of the family, He clearly looked upon Adam and Eve as partners.  Consider this verse:

“And God blessed them (Adam and Eve), and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over…every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28).

God blessed both Adam and Eve and told them both to have dominion over the earth.  In other words, Adam and Eve were to be a king and a queen, not a king and his subject.  It was Eve’s disobedience that provoked God to change her role—and the role of all women. Because Eve usurped Adam’s authority, God cursed women with men who are no longer meek, like Adam or Moses, but controlling and domineering.  Are all men this way?  Of course not.  Are many men this way?  Ask a woman.  God cursed Eve and all future women with men who would rule over them.  And women have lived under this curse ever since.

This doesn’t apply only to marriage and relationships.  Women in general have been ruled over by men since the Garden of Eden.  The struggle for women’s equality came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.  The struggle for women’s rights in the workplace came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.  And the struggle for woman’s suffrage came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.

This is as much a source of stress and worry for women as is the need to find a man and have children.  For despite the fact that women are now CEO’s of major corporations, and are doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, by and large, women have never completely overcome the disparity in wages with their male counterparts, nor have they been allowed the opportunities for personal advancement that men have been allowed.  There are exceptions, of course, but there remains a huge difference between what a man can do and what a woman can do and what a man can earn and what a woman can earn: the so-called glass ceiling.

Moreover, it is a perilous world for a woman.  Women are more often the victims of violent crime than are men.  Women regularly experience more physical assaults than do men. And women are always collateral damage in war, as rape in war-ravaged areas increases exponentially.  Even in peacetime, the rape of women in certain areas of the world has reached epidemic proportions.

And women are not only the victims of violence.  Women are victimized in almost every conceivable way.  Women experience more discrimination than men.  Women experience more harassment in the workplace than men.  Women experience more break-ins than men.  Women fall prey to scams more often than men.  And women are routinely left pregnant and alone and have to rear their children without a man to help.

All these are a source of constant stress and worry in a woman’s life.

Depression and mental illness in women as well as the difficulty women face in general, are the result of God’s curse on women for Eve’s disobedience.  And, as painful deliveries are the norm today, so are worry and sorrow the norm for women today.  It truly is a man’s world.  James Brown made it popular, but God made it happen.

So what is the woman suffering from depression to do?  How can she free herself?  To answer this question, let us turn to Paul’s first epistle to Timothy, Chapter 2.  In verses 9 through 15, the Apostle Paul discusses what the role and behavior of women in the Church ought to be.  It is verse 15 that holds the key for rescuing women from the curse of Eve:

“Notwithstanding she (Eve, or women in general) shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.”

Now we know that when Paul says that women will be saved, he is not talking about salvation from Hell.  He is referring to the curse that God placed on Eve and all women. We know this; because Paul earlier states that he will not tolerate a woman to “usurp the authority over the man” (v. 12).  He then goes on to remind Timothy that Adam came before Eve (v. 13), and that Eve was deceived and not Adam (v. 14).  God is a merciful God, and He always provides a way out (2 Corinthians 10:13).  God says that He will free women of the curse of Eve, if they marry, bear children, and live a godly Christian life.

This should not be difficult for us to understand.  Eve disobeyed God by usurping her husband’s authority, and her disobedience led to her, and all women, being cursed by God.  As a result, all women are cursed with painful childbirth.  They also have been cursed with manifold pressures and worries, resulting in stress-related illnesses like depression and bipolar disorder.

But God says that He will rescue the woman who lives a faithful, charitable, and holy life—a Christian life.  This means that marriage and godly living, coupled with having children, will lift the curse of Eve from the woman.  In this way, a woman can reverse the curse of Eve, who rebelled against God and her husband and cursed all women.  The woman who gives her life to Jesus and lives a holy and sanctified life, comes out from under the curse of Eve and is set free.  This doesn’t mean that she won’t have problems: we all have problems.  But worry, as a perpetual condition, will be a thing of the past.

If you find what I’m saying hard to believe, just ponder how many older women you know of, especially those in your church, who walk around with a sour look on their faces, who don’t have any joy in their lives, and who are always cynical, complaining, or just plain mean.  Have you ever noticed that many of these same women are also domineering and sometimes even disrespectful to their husbands in public?  Show me a woman like that, and I will show you a woman who has usurped her husband’s authority in the home.  She has sown to the wind, and is reaping the whirlwind: the curse of Eve.

Understand that the reason many women are experiencing increased depression is because they have usurped the authority of their husbands.  The author of A Deeper Shade of Blue touches upon this very fact when she says:

“Many have attributed [the disparity in the frequency of depression in men and women] to the various stresses women face as a result of their gender and the demands women face as they occupy multiple — and often conflicting — roles within the family” [Brackets and boldface mine.]

Since there are only three roles in a family: the father, the wife, and the child, “conflicting roles” most likely means when a women is acting as the head of the household in place of her husband.  Women should not have conflicting roles within the family.  God made man the head of the family:

“But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God” (1 Corinthians 11:3).

The woman should not, therefore, attempt to usurp her husband’s authority; for, in doing so, she is actually going against the will of God.  In that God cursed all women because Eve usurped Adam’s authority, it only follows that contemporary women, being under the same curse, will experience great problems in their personal AND spiritual lives–especially mental problems–when they usurp their husband’s authority.  In that psychological disorders, according to the Bible, are actually spiritual, then it is no wonder many women suffer from psychological disorders.

Let me give you a very practical example of what I mean.  One of our readers vehemently disagrees with my stand that bipolar disorder is spiritual in nature, citing medical research and her own doctor’s diagnosis that the disease has a medical basis.  She ignores the evidence we provide that suggests that the medical establishment doesn’t really know what causes bipolar disorder.  This is why they labeled it a disorder, which is merely “a group of signs and symptoms” (Webster’s Dictionary).  A disorder is not the problem, but a sign that there is a problem.  If doctors knew what bipolar disorder was, then they would call it whatever it is.  But they don’t know what it is, hence the term, disorder.
Because she felt so strongly about this issue, this dear lady used language that was probably not as charitable as she would have liked.  (She later wrote me and apologized for her reaction, much to her credit.)  What is interesting, is that she added that she doesn’t believe in generational curses, based on her interpretation of Galatians 3:13 (“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law”).  But if this verse applied to bipolar disorder, then why is this lady still suffering from it?  Isn’t bipolar disorder a curse?  You bet your boots it is.

The Bible says, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8).  Bipolar disorder is merely the politically correct term for schizophrenia, which literally means “split mind.”  A person with a split mind is unstable, and much of the behavior associated with bipolar disorder supports this.  If this lady has been “redeemed” from the curse, then why is she still suffering from bipolar disorder?  I’ll tell you why.  Because generational curses are real, and bipolar disorder is the manifestation of a generational curse.  A person has to be delivered from a generational curse separately.  It is something entirely different from salvation.  You can be a Christian and still be under a curse.

I. Am. A. Witness.

I wrote about this in excruciating detail in Breaking Generational Curses.  This poor lady could have been set free long ago, because she obviously read the article.  But she chooses to be in bondage, ignoring the Bible’s clear teaching on this subject.

Now let me show you how this teaching on depression and mental illness applies to this lady, as well as many women.  Though she vigorously opposes my contention that bipolar disorder is demonic, and, thus, spiritual in nature, in her comment to our article on bipolar disorder and in her email correspondence to me, this lady has at times used angry and uncharitable language.  Now, she says she is a Christian, and I don’t, for one minute doubt her salvation.  But her reactions suggests to me that she struggles with anger and cannot tolerate opinions that differ from hers.  Anger is not a sin, but what we say and do when we get angry can be.

Some of the behaviors associated with bipolar disorder include, but are not limited to:

  • Sexual promiscuity
  • Uncontrollable outbursts of anger
  • Pathological lying
  • Stealing
  • Swearing
  • Delusion (some bipolar people have testified to pretending to be someone or something else: like a government agent)
  • Spending money you don’t have
  • Aggressive behavior, including assault and even murder

Is it merely a coincidence that all of these behaviors are sin?  This is what identifies bipolar disorder as a spiritual disease that is demonic in nature: many of the behaviors associated with bipolar disorder are sinful.  Because society has largely turned its back on God and no longer considers sin sinful, we ignore this fact.  But there is no doubt in the Christian mind that much of the behavior associated with bipolar disorder is sin.  That is why doctors, for the most part, can only treat the depression and the anxiety.  There is no medical treatment for sin.

Though I cannot speak for her general behavior, this lady probably struggles with anger, as her comment and correspondence clearly suggest.  That it is the result of a curse is evidenced by the part of her testimony she shared with me, which includes an activity that the Bible clearly defines as witchcraft.  This activity–by her own words, mind you–is generational.  Yet she doesn’t believe in generational curses!

She calls me a “witch hunter,” because I have written articles defining certain behaviors that God, not me, said is witchcraft.  Understand that the Bible teaches that “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft” (1 Samuel 15:23).  So, according to the Bible, you don’t have to cast spells to be a witch.  If you rebel against the Lord, you are as guilty as one who practices witchcraft.  Moreover, 1 Samuel 15:23 says that “stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Idolatry will earn you a generational curse (Exodus 20:4), just like witchcraft (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

So one who chooses to ignore the clear teaching of God on the issue of generational curses is guilty of rebellion and stubbornness.  And God said that He would “by no means clear the guilty” (Exodus 34:7).  He will punish you.  That is what I believe is happening to this lady with bipolar disorder.  She chooses to believe what the medical establishment has told her about bipolar disorder, even though she is clearly still struggling with the disease.  She could be set free, but she chooses to live in bondage, ignoring the Bible to justify a rigid belief system.

Understand that according to the Bible, women are experiencing higher incidents of depression and other psychological disorders, because they are under a curse.  Curses can be lifted by Jesus Christ.  But one has to confess sin.  The only thing standing between a woman and freedom is either pride or ignorance.  Ignorance can be fixed with information, and that is what I’ve just given you.  But if your problem is pride, I can’t help you.  You should know, however, that the Bible says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”  Pride is the enemy of spiritual freedom.

If you are a woman suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, or some other psychological problem, I want you to understand that I am not trying to cast any dispersion upon you or make light of your situation.  In fact, I am very sympathetic towards you, which was another reason I decided to write this article.  There are several women in my life who suffer from bipolar disorder and depression.  And I know enough about the personal circumstances of these women to know that they are under a generational curse.  They could be set free, but their pride will not let them throw themselves at Jesus’ feet and beg forgiveness.

This must stop.  God knows there are enough women in the world, who have been blessed with a husband and children and could care less about either.  But for a woman who truly wants a family, to not have one and, worse, to not have any prospects, It must be devastating.

If you are single, you must understand that God does not necessarily want you to stay in this situation; neither does He want you depressed out of your mind, because you keep getting into relationships with the wrong kind of guy and end up having your life ruined.  God wants you to find a godly man and settle down and have a family, submitting yourself to your husband’s authority as the head of the household.

If you are married, God wants you to be happily so, not one day in the throes of euphoria and the next in the depths of depression.  God wants you to be happy and satisfied as the wife of your husband, not usurping your husband’s authority and trying to wear the pants in the family.

As a rule, I don’t like static prayers.  I don’t believe that there is a prayer for this and a prayer for that, as the Bible doesn’t teach this.  All it really takes is for a woman to throw herself at Jesus’ feet and beg forgiveness using whatever language she can muster.  But because I know there are women out there who are suffering emotionally and are desperately yearning to be set free, I want you to pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I realize that Mother Eve cursed me when she rebelled against her husband, Adam.  I realize that it is because of her rebellion that I am having such a hard time in life, and am cursed with worry, depression, loneliness, and fear.  I understand that you have given women the blueprint for a happy life, and it all starts with accepting you as Lord and Savior.  I know, Lord Jesus, that I am a sinner and I need forgiveness.  I believe that you died and shed your blood for my sins.  I know you can free me from worry and depression.  Please forgive my sins and be my Lord and Savior.  Then, please teach me how to live a godly, pure, and chaste life that is pleasing in your sight.  Teach me how to appreciate the man’s authority in the hierarchy of the family.  I submit myself to your will.”

If you are married, but have not submitted to the authority of your husband as God intends, you may pray this:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I have not submitted to my husband’s authority as you intended, and I realize that this is rebellion, which is as the sin of witchcraft.  I understand that this is one reason I am having so many problems in my spiritual walk, and why I am depressed, worried, and restless.  I realize that you never intended for me to live this way, and that it is my own rebellion that has brought this upon me.  I want to be free, Lord Jesus, from worry.  I want to be free from depression.  I want to be free from suicidal thoughts.  And I want to experience joy in my life and in my marriage again.  I humble myself before you, Lord Jesus.  I’m sorry I was a rebel.  Please forgive me.  Please renew within me a desire to do that which is good and pleasing in your sight.  Please restore my relationship with you and with my husband.  Please restore my peace.  Thank you for forgiving me.”

Understand that this is not magic.  It’s not the words that are important, but what is in your heart.  So, if neither of these prayers perfectly describes your situation, tweak it to fit your circumstances.  The important thing is to realize that women are cursed with a rebellious nature, like Eve, and have been cursed with worry, depression, and other problems because of Eve’s rebellion.  As Eve was a rebel, so are all women rebels, to a greater or lesser degree.  I cannot speak for all women, of course, but let each woman reading this examine her own conscience.  And may you all make the right decision.  I want to see you well.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Stay Tuned

tyndalemem1

Grace and peace, Saints.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in about a week, but I have been busy working on a couple of articles that God laid on my heart, and they are taking a lot longer than I thought.  Besides that, I went to Belgium a couple of weeks ago, so I was away from my computer for that time.

The Belgium trip was especially interesting for me, because I visited the William Tyndale Museum and the William Tyndale park and memorial in Vilvoorde, Belgium.  I learned about the Tyndale Museum from the film, A Lamp in the Dark, the story of the Roman Catholic church’s efforts to destroy the Protestant Reformation and the King James Bible.

As you may know, William Tyndale was the first man to translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into English.  In fact, over 90% of the Authorized Version, the King James, was made from Tyndale’s translations.  The English-speaking Christian community owes a great debt of thanks to William Tyndale, who was martyred at Castle Vilvoorde, about 200 meters from where the Tyndale Museum sits today.

God willing, I will post the pictures and video that I made of my visit this week.  My first order of business is to bring you the articles I have been working on.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Importance of Fathers

via funnyimagepictures.com

Happy Fathers Day to all fathers–saved or not–and greetings to the rest of the world–saved or not.

As I reflected on the meaning of Father’s Day, I realized that the twenty-first century has seen more American children grow up without their fathers than at any other time in the history of this country, save wartime. This should not be. Fathers are vitally important to their children’s emotional and psychological development and well being, helping to mold their character and self-image. Fathers are important as examples, teachers, role models, and nurturers.

A good father lives by example and sets the example for his children.  As the first male in his daughter’s life, a father sets the example of what a man ought to be, showing her by example what she should look for in a prospective husband.  Studies have shown that many women who are divorced or in dysfunctional marriages grew up without a father in their lives.  They therefore lacked an example—good or bad–of what a husband and father looks like.  The father is the example for his children of how a husband should maintain healthy relationships with the opposite sex, in particular his wife.  Finally, a father should serve as the example of how a father and husband should manage his household and discipline his children.

The father is also his child’s first teacher.  Children learn from their fathers how to handle the challenges of life wisely, maturely, and responsibly.  They learn the value of patience, honesty, accountability and dependability.  And they learn from their fathers the value of hard work.

In most cases, a child’s father is his first moral example.  A good father therefore serves as a role model for his children.  As such, he sets the pattern for the their behavior, demonstrating how a mature, responsible adult should speak and act, and deal with the outside world.  It is a proven fact that children raised in a home with a responsible father are generally more mature and have fewer disciplinary problems.

The nurturing loving influence of a father is as important as that of a mother in a child’s formative years.  This is as true for boys as it is for girls.  In an increasingly hostile and violent world, boys need the unconditional love of a father to counter the dangerous influence of peer pressure.  And a father helps his daughter to form a healthy self-image by validating her and making her feel attractive and valued.  Nurturing of this sort helps counter the harmful influences of peer pressure.

Children who grow up without a father statistically are at a greater risk of becoming substance abusers, dropping out of school, being incarcerated, bearing and fathering children out of wedlock, or marrying multiple times.

The Gospel of John demonstrated the importance of The Father in the life of Jesus Christ:

The Father As Example:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do” (John 5:19).

The Father As Teacher:

“I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me” (John 8:28).

The Father As Role Model:

“I speak that which I have seen with my Father” (John 8:38).

The Father As Nurturer:

“Therefore doth my Father love me” (John 10:17).

If Jesus, Who is God Almighty, was so greatly influenced by His father, imagine the profound influence we earthly fathers have on our mortal children.

Moreover, when Jesus on the cross became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21), His Father had to leave Him for a season.  This separation was more agonizing than the pain Jesus suffered.  For Jesus said nothing with respect to His suffering, but when He could no longer feel His Father’s presence, He cried out, “Father, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46).

If Jesus, Who is the Creator of the universe, sorely missed His father when He left Him—even though He knew it would only be for a short season—how much greater must earthly children miss their fathers when they abandon them, having no idea when or if they will return?

Clearly, fathers are crucial to the healthy development of children.  Under no circumstances, then, must we fathers leave our children.  We hold their futures—indeed, their very lives—in our hands.

If you need help being a good father, just ask Jesus. Here is what to pray:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I need help becoming a good father. I know that you died on the cross for my sins, and in so doing, made it possible for me to be the father you would have me to be.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.  Thank you for saving me and helping me to become the father my children need me to be.”

If, as a father, you said that prayer, and meant it, then you can look forward to the Lord Jesus making you into the father you want to be and that He wants you to be.  You have my word on it, as well as the word of every former lousy father (which includes me) who ever prayed such a prayer.

Happy Father’s Day!
