Italy is up 2:0 over Germany, thanks to two goals by Italy’s Mario Balotelli. Â The first goal was a header after a nice pass, and the second a powerful kick that sailed behind Germany’s goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, and just missed the sidebar of the net.
Germany missed four chances to score early in the match; one was a nice opportunity for Sami Kidheira when the Italian goalkeeper failed to reign in a blocked kick. Â But he missed it. Â
The second half is just getting under way and Germany’s Kloze has come in for Mario Gomez and Reus has come in for Kroos. Â Italy hasn’t made any substitutions. Â Germany is looking very aggessive now, and has attacked twice in five minutes, but with no score as of yet.
