A Reply From Jack (well, almost)

Grace and peace, Saints.

As you may recall, back in February of this year, we wrote Christian publisher and cartoonist, Jack Chick, concerning occult images we discovered in his gospel tracts.

We first wrote about this subject back in 2012, in the article, Man, You Don’t Know Jack! after discovering a Cult of Mary hand sign in the gospel tract, Why Is Mary Crying?  At that time, I considered writing Jack Chick about this, but thought better of it, for several reasons, not the least of which was the fact that at that time, I had only found the hand sign in that one particular tract.

But when I later discovered that same hand sign in two other Chick tracts, namely The Choice and The Storyteller, I decided that it was time to write Jack Chick and find out what was going on.  So, I did, in a letter which you can read here.

Well, shortly thereafter, I received a letter from Jack’s secretary, which you can read below:

As you can see, Ms. Rockney denies that the occult images were placed in the tracts intentionally, and even attempts to explain them away by saying that “sometimes a picture is just a picture.”

Well, here is one of the images in question.  I’ll let you decide if it is “just a picture.”

I have responded to Ms. Rockney’s letter, answering some of her claims in turn.  You can read my response here.

Saints, pray for discernment.  Chick Publications is probably one of the largest, best known, and most trusted Christian publishers of gospel literature out there.  And if they are controlled by the forces of darkness, then it will manifest in some way.  So, I admonish you to take a good hard look at Chick Publications.  I already have.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Still Man

  1. Sandra Lee Smith says:

Increasingly, I find the world’s standards invading the Church, and being embraced. I have not read or studied Mr Chick’s work. But I am acutely aware of the invasion of the word’s excuse for “music” (using that term in the loosest possible sense). What the world calls “music” is actually an addictive racket that creates a physiologic state called antihomeostasis. Homeostasis is the state of optimal functioning of the human body. So its opposite, as implied, would be a state that promotes ill-health. The world’s “music” as adopted by many churches today, does precisely that. It elevates the adrenalin and cortisol levels, not enough to be felt by most, but enough that the body becomes addicted to that level, and over time, immersion in that sound causes “stress related” diseases such as hypertension, cardiopulmonary disorders, connective tissue disorders (arthritis, and some auto-immune disorders as well): can that possibly be of God? Not the God I find in the Bible. But as Satan’s time grows short, and he knows it is, he’s attacking on all fronts, even deceiving the very elect, just as we were warned.

    • If what you say is true, regarding the so-called gospel music that is played in many churches, it is an absolutely incredible revelation. And it would provide yet another reason for the astronomical increase in mental health-related illness reported by many professed Christians. God willing, I plan to research this more, and, if the Spirit leads me, to report my findings. If there is any literature on this subject that you can point me to, I would be appreciate it.

One small correction: Jesus said that “if it were possible,” the deception of these last days would fool the very elect (Matthew 24:24). It will never be possible, however, because Jesus said, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

God bless you, and thanks for your insights.

Let me know what you think!
